Adjoining rooms

We are AP who usually stay in Deluxe monorail resorts because we have a teenager, 8year old and toddler, and don't all fit in other onsite rooms. My husband is attending a conference in Orlando in Nov. and we want to tag along, but can't afford the hotel expense. Found two rooms at the All Stars for pretty cheap, but am wondering if any other large group has tried adjoining rooms there.

We had connecting rooms at AS Sports in March when we went. Just make sure to ask for connecting rooms (I think this is different than adjoining rooms which don't have the door connecting them). They also told us when we made our reservations that if there are minors in the connecting room they guarantee that connection with the adults' room. In most cases you can just request connecting rooms, but they don't guarantee it. So, when you make your reservations make sure they know that your kids will bein the other room and you need the rooms to be connecting.

You must say connecting to get the 3rd door. Adjoining just means next to each other. There is alot of confusion over this because Disney is one of the only companies to term there rooms in that manner.

Listen to the people who tell you about the connecting rooms  We asked for adjoining rooms also and ended up without a door in between. They were nice enough to switch us, but it took a long time before the new rooms were ready and if it had been a busy season we would have been out of luck.

On a previous trip, we asked for "adjoining" and did get the connecting rooms- I guess we lucked out that time.
