Adding Food Allergy Info After You've Booked an ADR

Is there any way to do this via the website or do you have to call? I know you can indicate this when you make the ADR, but I can't seem to see any way to update the info on an existing ADR. In a nutshell - no pun intended - DD4 has developed a serious nut allergy and I need the ADRs to reflect this. The last 24 hrs have been tense and I just don't want to be breaking out the EpiPen at WDW.

According to allears:

http://allears.net/din/special.htm

Special dietary needs can be accommodated if requested at least 72 hours in advance at 407-WDW-DINE (no longer 24 hours). The more specific and individual your needs are, the more lead time the restaurant will require! This new time frame began in February 2005.

More info here:

According to Disney.com:

For online reservations, visit http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/ and indicate the food allergy or intolerance on the required screen.

When making a phone reservation, please inform the reservation Cast Member of the food allergy or intolerance and they will notate the food allergy or intolerance on the reservation. You can make a reservation by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

So...basically....you should just call ASAP

I thought there was an edit your reservation option but I just checked and no there isn't. You can only add a celebration on to it. With that being said, I would call and add it on the reservations so they have it documented ahead of time. We were just there and I saw more guests asking to speak to the chefs then I have ever seen before. They are VERY accommodating and will make special items for you.

be prepared for peanut oil in some unusal things. had to have different breads at a number of ressies. most were not visable, just beware if on table do not just hand to child before talking to chef. yes we had on ressies but still had on table. also can not order or go buffet until you meet with chef. chefs we meet were very helpful to us.

Disney's dietary line is great! I have a shellfish allergy and they were great with it! There will be a note placed on all your ressies. Once at the resturant the wait staff will adress the issue with you right away and in most cased the chef will come out to talk to you. If at check in they do not mention the allergy, which they should make sure you say something.

It's really amazing where the allergens can be hiding. Thanks for the heads up on the breads. I can really see buffets being danger zones without the help of the chef.

Good to know. The last place I want to be on dietary panic mode is while on vacay. You also reminded me that I really need to remember to tell them about my shellfish allergy as well. I just got into trouble with that one- mine is bivalve specific- the dish didn't contain any bivalves but they forgot that clams were used to flavor the broth used in the sauce.
