Get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy but not too heavy breakfast, and bring tissues. I've heard that chewing gum during tests helps you concentrate, I tried it when I took my teacher certification exam and I did well. :D

Don't drink too much beforehand, and don't get nervous. Try to relax and remember your entire fate does not rest on this one test. Goo dluck! I'm sure you'll do fine.

Good Luck! Get a lot of sleep, don't study too much the night before, it will only make you nervous, and just do the best you can. If you don't feel like you did well on it the first time, you can always take it again. That's what I did last year when I took it. After the second time I took it, my score increased by two as did most of my friends scores.

Take two Tylenol before going..... be there thirty minutes early...go to the bathroom even if you do not need to..... and above all.............remember that the SAT or the ACE scores are only a predictor for future ACADEMIC success...... Colleges are most interested in whether the tuition check clears.... They are not an indicator of success in the real world.... Find something you love to do and you will never work again.....it will all be counted as pleasure....

I think it was about 3-4 hours long. It's like the SAT, but a little different...it covers things like history and science, too. My daughter took both the SAT & ACT. She did well on both, but better on the ACT. It SEEMS to be easier for "Verbal" students. The SAT SEEMS to be easier for "Math" students....at least that was her impression. A lot of schools will accept either score; many require the SAT II also. (They are a series of tests...you can choose which ones you take... that cover things the SAT doesn't, or go into more depth. My daughter took the Writing, Spanish, and ?an algebra test... areas where she was "stronger" than she was on the general areas covered by the SAT)
