AAA Member Perks??

Hello All... I am a AAA member and I was wondering what (if any) perks are there in Disney for being a member?? And discounts at any restaurants or stores??

Resort room discounts - I think 10 to 15 percent and AAA parking at TTC. But I have read that both are ending this year. Other than ticket discounts - that is about the extent of discounts we get. I have been with AAA for ever but I have never found their discounts to be that great.

This is probably coincidental, since - after all - AAA is also a full service travel agency for its members, plenty of whom fly to WDW. But it seems that DME has helped forge an irrevocable split between Disney and AAA, because fewer people seem to be driving to WDW. Back when gas was much cheaper and more folks seemed to have less of a problem taking 2 weeks off for a vacation, it seemed more usual for families to drive to WDW, maybe taking day trips along the way, spending a good chunk of a week at WDW with maybe day trips to Universal or Wet and Wild or Sea World thrown in there, then driving back exhausted and broke. But Disney's expansion and free transportation from the airport make it an easier choice for people to leave cars behind, and the discount on tickets seem more paltry as tix prices escalate, and other web based companies offer instant deals comparable or better than AAA (to say nothing of WDW arranging many travelers' plans themselves). Just less of an obvious synergy between the 2 anymore.

The Swan and Dolphin offer AAA room rates through their own site (not booking through Disney's site). I'm also fairly certain Picabu, the 24 hour convenience store/QS restaurant at the Dolphin, also offers a AAA discount.

Too bad my mom works for the hotel and I already get super cheap rates there and 1/2 off food at the Picabu!!! lol - Thanks though ;)

There were other threads where this was discussed and CMs were telling people that the AAA diamond spots didn't exist anymore. I believe this was at EPCOT and Animal Kingdom?
