Trip Report A Whole Hand Old, Almost the Big 60, & an I don't care what we do but Biergarten PTR

So as many of you know, we are officially 70 days to arriving in WDW! Woo Hoo! This will be our 3rd trip as a married couple, second with our daughter, first for the grandparents with our daughter, and their upteenth trip (actually I think it is somewhere around 6 or 7. Here we are on our last trip which was our daughter's first trip

My Mom and Dad are headed down via airplane on September 11th, 2013. They will be staying at the Contemporary main building for the entire length of their trip. They are extraordinarily lucky and get to stay 8 days. We will be arriving in Florida sometime on the 14th and will check in to the Contemporary (if I have anything to say about it) as early as possible on the 15th and head straight to Animal Kingdom. We plan on doing the usual suspects at AK. Start with the safari, wonder around a bit and hopefully eat at Flame Tree for lunch, ride EE for the first time for me. My mom and Cadence, my DD, will sit this one out for sure as my Dad may as he has some health issues to contend with. Festival of the Lion King and the Nemo shows and whatever else we can fit in before heading back to the Contemporary to unpack and freshen up for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise! Woo Hoo! So excited about this one.

Cadence informed me that she was going as Mulan to MNSSHP so one less outfit to pack. She is mostly packed, just waiting on her Pirate shirt and have to pack PJs and underwear and that sort of thing for her.

Hubby just told me to be packed and ready to go after school on the 13th, so we will drive down that day and evening. He said to book a room in Orlando for Saturday. Woo Hoo! I see a day and evening of fun at Downtown Disney in store. :)

Still have to pack Carl and I's clothes and get 2 days worth of clothes for everybody into an overnight bag.

Awesome!!! Bonus time in the WDW area!!! I'm going to be at work that Saturday for a massive fund reorganization, but somewhere during the account validation process, I'm going to have to watch my 2011 Contemporary arrival vid in honor of your arrival in Orlando. :joyfull:

Great that Cadence is going as Mulan...that worked out nicely!

This also reminds me a lot of how we handled the road trip for our 2011 trip...i.e. overnight stay in area before checking in at WDW. This was where ziplock bagging outfits really was my friend. It was all so neat and organized...enabled us to get on the road pronto.

Still can't believe how close the trip is now. :)

If you have your video handy I would love to see it! I am so excited! I plan on packing our outfits in a carry on style situation...pack Friday night and Saturday's clothes along with our toiletries that way we only have to take in one bag to the hotel and the rest of the bags will stay in the car. :)

When we originally planned it we didn't plan on leaving until Saturday morning. Now we are leaving Friday afternoon. We plan on meeting with family who lives in the Tampa area in Orlando so we will just stay there. Staying at the hotel at DTD will save us over $150 for the one night.

Cannot believe we are in single digits now. Crazy. Went and spent way to much on my daughter's birthday presents today. She got almost every My Little Pony Equestria doll and the turtle shell and mask for her Halloween costume/dress up.
Got some of my stuff packed but having a hard time on shirts. Been trying to talk my husband into packing some and he just laughs. Tomorrow will be the first afternoon I have had at home all week so it will be spent deep cleaning so next week I only have to spot clean. Saturday we have more cleaning and then Cadence's party at my Mom's house. Sunday will be church and baking and probably Sam's for a few supplies. Busy. But rather be busy because that means we will be driving under that wonderful sign a lot sooner.

No cleaning accomplished. Just a hole in my car door thanks to the nail shot from a nail gun next door. On the positive side, in one week I will be enjoying my very first MNSSHP. :)

Up way to early thanks to horrible tooth pain. We stopped in Valdosta on our way to Orlando. Pretty nice room at the Holiday Inn Conference center. Will wait on the hubby and baby girl to wake up and then head on out to Orlando! Woo hoo! Hoping to get some shopping in and visiting with family from New Port Richey. Should be an awesome day!
