Trip Report A Whole Hand Old, Almost the Big 60, & an I don't care what we do but Biergarten PTR

So as many of you know, we are officially 70 days to arriving in WDW! Woo Hoo! This will be our 3rd trip as a married couple, second with our daughter, first for the grandparents with our daughter, and their upteenth trip (actually I think it is somewhere around 6 or 7. Here we are on our last trip which was our daughter's first trip

And here are my faboulous parents, aka Grammy and Papa

My Mom and Dad are headed down via airplane on September 11th, 2013. They will be staying at the Contemporary main building for the entire length of their trip. They are extraordinarily lucky and get to stay 8 days. We will be arriving in Florida sometime on the 14th and will check in to the Contemporary (if I have anything to say about it) as early as possible on the 15th and head straight to Animal Kingdom. We plan on doing the usual suspects at AK. Start with the safari, wonder around a bit and hopefully eat at Flame Tree for lunch, ride EE for the first time for me. My mom and Cadence, my DD, will sit this one out for sure as my Dad may as he has some health issues to contend with. Festival of the Lion King and the Nemo shows and whatever else we can fit in before heading back to the Contemporary to unpack and freshen up for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise! Woo Hoo! So excited about this one.

Sounds magical except if you can find the time to do TT stand-by at some point I'd do that because with a fp there's no guarantee of being able to design your own car. We did it a few times with a fp and only once did we get to design a car on that line.

Good advice Figgy! Think we have all of our FP set for the entire party of 5. Whew. My Mom got her MagicBands today. I am a little jealous because I want ours! Still waiting on Cadence's Pirate Cruise shirt. I have mine finished and her Mulan shirt almost finished. Will post pics of them all soon. I have made a decision on Cadence's cake since I heard back from the Contemporary bakers. So will have to place that order soon. They only have one image of Mulan they can use : I have to order my PhotoPass this week as well. All happening very soon. Yeah!

Busy busy week! At least you have all of your FPs set...that should help a lot. I still can't believe they only have 1 Mulan image. Just blows my mind that Disney limits the images for things made in Disney bakeries, but has all kinds of licensed images available for edible images and other uses. Oh well, not much that can be done. Still...exciting that things are really progressing and getting closer.

We received our MagicBands today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hooo! They must have overnighted them because I selected them on Tuesday night I think and received them today. Love. I got Red, Carl got the gray, and Cadence got Pink of course.

So got a few things done today and want to share. I just ordered my Photo pass cd. Called to place the birthday girl's cake order but they were closed.
Finished sewing the Mickey heads for the autograph patches for her quilt. Now I just have to remember which pen worked. I have to tape the edges of the quilt blocks and get them packed. I am still waiting on one more shirt that I ordered. She wrote today and it is lost somewhere in postal limbo so she is to do another one and ship it out ASAP. I have to figure out what I am gonna wear. Debating about whether to take dresses or shorts and capris. Decisions, Decisions.

How do you present the blocks to be signed? Do you use an embroidery hoop to keep the fabric taught?

Yeah- the CR's cake line closes at 4pmET. I had to call back yesterday after placing my order b/c I had this freak out moment that I possibly gave them the wrong ADR info. They're at least really good about calling back. I guess I called around 4:30pmET yesterday, but got a call back around 9 this morning.

As for clothes, obviously go with what's most comfortable for your park time (especially while the sun is up) and then decide if you want something different for down time and evenings.

They put time as to be determined so I can just call and let them know we are ready for it. Hoping that if I ask to have it delivered outside to the beach they will be accomodating. If not, oh well. So excited though!

Awesome!!! One more big fun thing checked off the list! I know they'll bring cakes to the boats/dock for the various cruises- so I would hope that the beach wouldn't be a huge issue. I guess just play that one by ear. Either way, very exciting!!!

Are you co-coordinating the clothing for the entire WDW trip? What other goodies do you have planned?

Cadence's clothes are all coordinated for the trip. The adults all have one Mickey shirt that I think we will wear on her actual birthday. She is to have a pirate ship Minnie shirt for our first day which is when we will do the Pirates and Pals cruise. She has a Sofia the first dress with her name and a five for her birthday. For our Epcot day she will have a Mulan Mickey head shirt and the she will have two other Mickey head shirts for the other two days. I still have no clue what she will wear to MNSSHP. She wants to be a Ninja turtle.

There are a few people selling the various turtles on ebay. Some are just selling the masks (around $15) while others are selling the full costumes (around $55). Most were US sellers and a few were even offering next day shipping.

I ordered her pjs that are turtle costumey off zulilly and they have the mask and turtle shells at Walmart. All said probably close to the $50 mark. So comfy and easy. We shall see if she winds up wearing it.

Just a little catch up while the hubby watches football and before I take a nice nap.
We are exactly 14 days before arriving in Orlando! Super excited. Spent the morning perusing pics of the Halloween decorations and checking out the Disney Food Blogs Flickr account. Dreaming of yumminess to come!


Cadence informed me that she was going as Mulan to MNSSHP so one less outfit to pack. She is mostly packed, just waiting on her Pirate shirt and have to pack PJs and underwear and that sort of thing for her.

Hubby just told me to be packed and ready to go after school on the 13th, so we will drive down that day and evening. He said to book a room in Orlando for Saturday. Woo Hoo! I see a day and evening of fun at Downtown Disney in store.

Still have to pack Carl and I's clothes and get 2 days worth of clothes for everybody into an overnight bag.
