A Tip for Hurricane Prep: If the last major hurricane was eleven years ago, its best to check up on your shutters and make sure they're not rusty/rusting. Not saying that mine are, when I helped put on the windows, but...they are. Don't think it'll have much effect though, as it wasn't rusted all the way through.

UCF cancelled school and I road tripped to the West coast of FL early today.... Traffic was insane getting out! :eek:

Tell me about it. We kept losing those metal discs that u need prior to the butterfly screws. (discs not needed do improve security) so took us a while. We didnt move in any furniture because I was the only 1 who suggested it. But hey its not my promblem when ur beautiful flowers and rocking chairs ride with the wind.

We were considering going to our grandparents house near Tampa but yeah the traffic seemed like it was gonna be rediculous :cyclops:

Thanks! Though I think I'm going to be settled in for a while so I'll probably be able to get something in before midnight at this point anyway actually.

(Also- tip- never leave a post saved for more than a day or it disappears :p Luckily it turned out I also had all of my work in a word doc I left open, but that could have been a big loss :D:eek:)

Aahhkkk...don't know what happened to my map/logo but they're gone and I don't have access to them :grumpy:

Oh well...hopefully I can complete my project in a few days for posterity's sake and make myself feel more satisfied with it, but just wanted to get at least something out there in the meantime :) :D

We used the short screws on the window that needs long screws :banghead: We ended up leaving it, but the last shutter only got two screws in. They were diagonals thoug, so it shouldn't fall.

It's actually pretty nice down here, there's a bit of rain a gust of wind, and the sun is out and shining. You should've just driven south to Miami :p and it's way closer than Sarasota.
