Just saw Strange.... It was fantastic!

I think what really made it so great for me was how unique it was, very unlike the other Marvel movies (which I thought led to it being a really cool story to follow along). Benefactor Cumblebunch was amazing as always, and the visual effects were quite possibly the best I've ever seen in any movie...seriously:jawdrop: I recommend seeing this in 3D, I wish I did (I might if I go back to see it again). Really, one of my favorite Marvel movies out there!

Saw this on Reddit, kind of a funny way of looking at the movie- Dr. Strange: The Worlds Most Expensice Anti Texting and Driving PSA Ever :p

But yeah I really did. My liking it also may have partly been how I knew next to nothing about Dr. Strange unlike most other superheroes, so I had no idea what to expect/where the story was going.
Haha:p

I think that's why the film worked on two levels. For the people who went in cold, their reaction is like what the heck is happening?! This is awesome!:geek: And then for the fans of the character like me you sit there grinning at how they got the character of Dr. Strange so well! They changed a few characters around, but the style of the 60s artwork

I mean - you saw the movie -- they did a good job translating this kind of stuff on screen:D

I'm really exciting that it's doing really well because this is the kind of movie that the MCU needs to proceed into the future. You can't just keep making Cap and Iron Man movies, you gotta have a variety and for sure Dr. Strange brings that! I could see this being a trilogy

I'm hoping for the same from Black Panther and Captain Marvel too!

Went and saw it myself as well on Friday. I didn't know much about Strange but had some semblance of an idea of what to expect just based on the little bit I'd poked around when I knew it was coming out. I wasn't die hard in love with the film, but I enjoyed it. It was definitely a different experience then the other marvel films.
I won't say too much for those who haven't seen it but they did make the obvious tie-in to the whole MU. I guess I'll be more interested to see how he gets incorporated into the MU when there are other super beings around him and he's got this completely different skill set. Ant man was a little easier with his powers being tech based and I thought his small role in CW was spot on with Paul Rudd's style.I do think the next movie he's going to be in will be a perfect segway to introduce him to the MU though before infinity war comes out. I think I'm looking more forward to it then I have several of the recent marvel films, besides CW.
I'm glad I read ew.com after about the movie as I completely missed a couple of subtle Easter eggs.
And I'm with you space, i think BP and CM could be really, really good if they can keep finding ways to make not just another superhero movie.both really interesting characters

I completely agree!

I'm hoping for an Ant-Man type appearance in the next movie for Strange before Infinity War (though you'll have to see the movie to find out which one it might be:bookworm:) I think that would be really good for his character to tie him in further with the ensemble. And Black Panther/Captain Marvel are hopefully cut from the same cloth given that both of them are in new territories for the universe.

The movie I'm actually most concerned for is Infinity War. While it's really cool to hear that there may be 60+ characters in it, I just hope they are able to represent them properly.

Isn't Infinity War going to have like two different movies to it? That'll be interesting, and probably better represent everyone.

This may seem like a silly question, but, is there like an "end" to the MCU? :p Like will it just keep going or is there some sort of grand story that this will end with (in Infinity War I guess)

It's a little confusing:p

So in Oct 2014, they announced their slate of films - in it they had Avengers Infinity War Part 1 (2018) and Part 2(2019)
IMG_6034.JPG

This led fans to believe that it was all one movie broken up into 2 parts (like the Harry Potter finale) It turns out though...that's actually not the case:rolleyes:

It's two separate Avengers movies (Avengers 3 and 4) shot back to back (like the Pirates movies did, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End) Avengers Infinity War is coming out in 2018 and an Untitled Avengers 4 is coming out in 2019.

I'm going to give Marvel the benefit of the doubt because they really have never dropped the ball on anything, but color me a bit concerned because while they did a great job balancing the characters in Civil War, that would only be 1/3 of the cast of Infinity Waro_O

What my "fan theory" would be -- is that the 60+ characters are over the 2 movies. Like, it's not a spoiler that Guardians are going to meet the Avengers, but maybe that doesn't happen until Avengers 4. And maybe the core Avengers (Iron Man, Cap) have a larger role in Avengers 3, and are side characters in Avengers 4, so that the new Avengers like Dr. Strange, Black Panther, etc can shine as the leads.

That would be my guess at least:p:bookworm:

Oh and no as long as they keep making money at the Box Office -- the movies will never end:p

However characters like Cap, Iron Man, Thor, etc may "retire" after Infinity War (aka their contracts expire) and the new batch of characters will fill their roles as leads.
