I'll also say that Hurricane Irma looks like something out of The Day After Tomorrow o_O

I hope it curves into the ocean but I was a bit concerned with @MonorailRed being down in Florida alone, so most of the afternoon was spent trying to make flight arrangements. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that airlines have no soul. They jack up the prices for something people can't control. Through some sort of divine intervention though we were able to get a flight after hours searching for the weekend, so Red will be visiting the space household in a few days! And away from this monster. @tcool123 I hope you're going to stay safe - I know you were saying you have some place to go but wanted to double check.

If the hurricane does in fact come here, I hope it doesn't last for long.

Hopefully you should be good. The latest trajectories are pushing it more out into the ocean, so the coastline might get it the worst along with wind/rain for central Florida. Of course this has changed like 4 times today, so who knows...
Well I certainly feel bad for those whose homes will be in the path of Irma since they're going to lose a lot of things, hopefully they won't include many lives.

Im going from West Kendall to North Kendall. Its a 15 minute distance, but that's sometimes all that's needed to survive. Or at least a higher a chance cause my apartment is only allowing to tape our windows.

On the brighter side of things me and my mom have plenty of water and food to last a week. 4 cases of 24 bottled waters, a couple of gallons, pop tarts, cereal, powder milk, yoohoo, caprisun, canned beans, bread, peanut butter, nutrigrain bars, jello, pudding, applesauce, etc.

I am prepared to lose everything I own if it means I live. It sounds extreme but its the reality of the situation when I return to my apartment Im not sure what to find but it sure won't be pretty.

On that note im taking my switch, movie collection sans boxes, computer, some things from childhood and maybe my tv in hopes of saving material things valuable to me.

As long as you're prepared and in a secure area, you should be fine. The only thing you can do is have a plan - it's the people who don't have a plan who freak others out or freak themselves out and cause pandemonium. It reminds me of this storm episode of it's always sunny :p

Keep safe, tcool! Thinking/praying for you that it'll be alright.
