If you think about how it’s $20 to park and they’re giving you $25 out of the $75 for food, the entrance fee is only $30. It’s not so horrible for me, but then again I haven’t been able to go since December 2019, and that’s way to long for me.

Fair question as I will be in the area on the 14th of March. Will Buena Vista Street be open on March 14, do you know? Or will March 13 be the last day it is available?

I will say this, I stumbled upon a Twitter thread talking about this event and they were all aghast at people who were COMPLAINING about the price and felt like it was a more than fair price.

You can't teach people common sense I guess...

Maybe people have been conditioned by paying for APs and getting in for cheap?

The truth is, for Disney event, this IS reasonably priced. This is exactly the type of event and options people here were calling for. Complaining about it now just seems petty.

Doesn't every other Disney event include access to rides? Does Disney believe the rides and attractions are only worth ~$35 (or whatever the price of a full price one day ticket is to DCA minus the cost of this ticket)? I think that's the reason people on here are confused by the pricing offered.

Maybe the rides really are only worth $35? As someone who has paid over $100 for a Disneyland After Dark night where I only went on one ride, I could definitely subscribe to that idea.

I know that I paid $100 for a night of entertainment, and left pretty happy with my purchase.

How can people be figuring out what Disney is, only now?

You chose to ride one attraction though, right?

This is essentially $75 to come in and spend more money. To truly enjoy the event you have to pay more money on food/drinks/etc. You are spending money simply to get the option to spend more money.

If you are an Irvine office worker who has been stuck on Zoom calls that even the secret Cabernet in the coffee mug can't make fun anymore, you are probably starved for entertainment. So the chance to give Disney 75 bucks to receive 25 bucks worth of food and no wind instruments probably seems like a fun Saturday to some of them by now.

I get it; these people are desperate for something to do that's not Costco or Target.

But 75 dollars for 25 dollars of food and a walk around an abandoned theme park?

You've got to be really, really, really bored to think that's a fun Saturday. But that's just me. :)

I won't hate on anyone who does this, but me personally, I won't go because

1) This does nothing for me and doesnt fill any theme park itch
2) I don't want to support this level of greed

In the off chance this is successful, we all know Disney will fully take advantage of that. "Oh wow people are paying 100 dollars to have Mickey wave at them from 50 ft away and go on no rides, think what else we can do!"
