A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

Script was leaked during the Sony hacks and it's pretty awful. I feel so sorry for the animators that had to animate the food orgy and the scene where a character fingers a rat's ***.
The film may not be for you, but I'm not sure how you can say it's awful when it currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes..

So, do you always personally attack people whose opinions differ from yours? Insecure much?

But you go right on defending the guy:
My beloved sister Olivia died when I was six and I truly had to wrestle with my identity as my poor old dad, so devastated by the loss of his first-born, took it out on me. Making it clear I was a poor understudy, a very inferior replacement.

‘Why can’t you be like her?’ he screamed. I wet my bed. Tried hard to be someone else and ‘they’ – although I really mean my father – upped my medication. So I could not process grief or sadness or pain or any of the other natural emotions I should have had.

He was a REAL prize. :D
And, so is @MonkeyHead. He loves stuff like this and to go around scaring people, well at least me. He probably adores those disgusting giants in BFG, too -- hence the unwarranted attack. So, don't even bother to reason with him. He can't read anyway.

@MonkeyHead just wants to follow me around and frighten me like Jason or something with this avatar of his. I am such a nice person, too. Like, I don't deserve having to look at this nightmare giant monkey head thing all the time. Ugh, it's time to go. I totally have to get away from him!

Pretty sure its an R-rated stoner comedy that is certainly not a Disney film.

Complaining about this is like being shocked Deadpool isn't for kids, the South Park movie has naughty words or that Team America might offend. People need to parent more and not blame it on the movies. They have a rating system, gotta pay attention....
If you've noticed, movie ratings tend to creep. G, PG, and PG-13 are basically all redundant right now.

Wow. 100%. For 7 reviews.

It is what it is: Seth Rogen. 'Nuf said. Not everybody digs Seth or his shtick. So that 100% will undoubtedly drop as the review count approaches 100. That's neither good nor bad. It's just reality. You cannot judge any film with only 7 reviews.

I'm actually going to disagree with this a bit. There is definite creep between G and PG. That line is often blurred beyond distinction. And the line between PG-13 and R is another tough call. It seems to vary from film to film, year to year. But the line between PG and PG-13 isn't really a line: it's a chasm! Films that should have been PG-13 per MPAA's own rules (Goosebumps for example) get the family-friendly PG so I guess the studio can cash in. I can't figure out any other explanation for it. There's no consistency between films. It's definitely applied haphazardly.

Methinks studio executives were so eager to get Spielberg in the Disney bullpen, they took their eyes off the ball and lost the game.

Of course, this excuse won't fly when Pete's Dragon crashes and burns next month.
Sorry, I missed this earlier -- I wish I would have seen it first -- but yeah, I totally agree with you.

The BFG did not feel like Disney to me. It felt like they just licensed their name to this film that was not quite up to par. Disney really needs to be careful. Otherwise, they risk jeopardizing their loyal viewers trust in regards to seeing new IP's.

I really hate to see Disney movies fail but I just don't get the appeal of Pete's Dragon at all. I love the big furry dragon though, he's so gorgeous. But, I had no idea the little boy was like Tarzan. So, this is feeling a little bit like the Jungle Book too, in a sense, except he does find his way into society. Sigh.

With that said, I really hope Pete's Dragon does well at the box office. We'll see.

Agree on Seth Rogen, most of his movies are pretty much dirty, potty mouthed comedies for men.
I still loved movies like Paul and a bit of less with Ted.

I think they still think that putting Disney on anything will lead the thing to be a instant success.
Probably fueled by the huge noise Star Wars and Marvel purchases did.
I mean, long time fans who didn't give a damn about Marvel or Star Wars.. suddenly where "best thing ever!"

Especially Tumblr

The conversation ends when anyone bashes a movie that won't be out for over another month and cites 4chan (really) and Tumblr as credible sources. Rogen's movies aren't for everyone but don't be that person who takes a dump on a product before anyone has seen it. But then again...the script DID leak.

And you're saying this in the thread that bashes almost every move Disney makes, often before things get officially announced.

The Sony hack leaks just kept showing how badly run that studio is and how dumb Hollywood is. Threatening legal action against Bill Murray to get him in the new Ghostbusters, Merging the two Spider-Man movie universes into one with a fourth Toby Macguire movie and a movie where Toby and Andrew Garfield fight each other that Pascal was sure would make two billion dollars and slides like this little treasure

Sausage Party's just gonna be another embarassment for Sony

Just to start, right? ;)
I may say something controversial but doesnt he seem to alwasy be "on"? I feel like he would be like living with lisa simpson. Creative guy, sounds incredibly intelligent and obviously very popular, but do I really want to be reminded about everything wrong with the world via slam poetry 24/7?

Just when I think I was out they pull me back in....So 1) I never said Sony or Hollywood is or isn't dumb. I don't work for either so I dont know for sure however I do know that the movie industry last yeat made over $11 billion so they are doing something right. Right? 2) Sony is releasing a MIB/21 Jump Street crossover so maybe I just proved your point about Sony being dumb?? 3) Whether people bash unreleased movies on this site all the time is irrelevant....doing it is inane. Just like it is when people bash unopened attractions. Ride it or see it and then form an opinion..otherwise keep it closed. And finally, 4) As Seth Rogen's movies have grossed an average of $88 million overall I'd say that Sausage Party has a good chance of doing better than you think. Will it be stupid and juvenille...I hope so!! Will it be an embarrassment...not if it makes it money back.

I actually have never seen him perform and been ignoring the Hamilton hype.
