No Pixar sequels in development past "Incredibles 2". There is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Four original films are currently in development.

Besides Cars 2, I feel like all have the sequels have been good additions to the Paxar catalog, especially TS3. But I have to admit I'm a bit worried about TS4, there is absolutely no need for it.

The new stage show debuted at Disneyland Paris, and it is pretty fantastic.

Wow - really shows how far the Disneyland Paris Resort has come. There's no way I'd have ever thought a show like this would premier back in 2011/2012. Can't wait to go back next year for the 25th anniversary when all the park updates are done - the place really does seem to be back on track.

This is one of the best tech moves the company has made under Iger, not that that is saying much. It's infrastructure that, if managed and developed well by TWDC and its partner in the MLB, can run much more than an HBO Now version of ESPN.

MLBAM's backend already runs many of Disney's TV Anywhere apps like WATCH Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, etc.

Just to get a feeling from the group, should Disney consider turning the ESPN and Disney blocks of channels into Premium Cable like packages à la HBO?
MLBAM has its hands in a lot of things not all to do with streaming either. They own a major ticketing company that is making some pretty big strides in technology in that area.

I totally expected The BFG to bomb but not all the way in *fourth* place behind that awful Purge movie and Tarzan. Like, wow. The BFG looks really good and the reviews were positive.

This is not like Alice. I am not a Tim Burton fan so I wasn't planning on seeing it anyway and it didn't look good. I liked the soundtrack though.

The only reason BFG failed so bad has to be poor timing. It does *not* look like summer and it doesn't feel like summer. This is a Thanksgiving type of movie -- even the preview shows the giant sitting down and enjoying this massive feast with the Queen. I can't wait to see it on video though and I bet Disney releases BFG just in time for Thanksgiving. LOL.

Interestingly, in the UK it doesn't carry the Disney title in advertising. Maybe as Dahl was a British author they feel it doesn't need the branding.

I don't know, but I hope The BFG performs better over in the UK and elsewhere because it can't get any worse here.

Also, I am a little nervous about Pete's Dragon. I feel totally mixed about this movie -- it feels a little like The Good Dinosaur, Tarzan, Clifford, Monsters, Inc. and something else all rolled into one. Pete's Dragon could go either way at the box office.

I wonder if that means we'll be seeing meme cameos in this one. I hope there's still video game characters.

They need to hire Cesar as a consultant if they're doing meme characters.

I can just see Orson Welles and Jean-Luc Picard teaming up to fight against fist-pump baby and Willy Wonka.

Although rather than Wreck-It Ralph, I suspect the sequel to The Emoji Movie is probably a better bet for meme-land.

You might be amazed what all happens in college teaching beyond your sphere. It's not at all unknown for parents to call at the institution for which I taught. Susie Snowflake in Pre-Nursing didn't get an A on the test that was directly lifted from the homework she didn't do? Mommy and Daddy are checking the syllabus to make a call to the prof. Helicopter parents are still a thing.

I haven't had that experience yet. I know my colleagues have. I'm waiting for it, but so far have avoided it.
