Am I allowed to make a Photo Contest so long as it is not a pre-existing one?
I've been looking around this thread and stuff looks interesting, but can I make my own photo contest (with rules and stuff?)

Actually, those were the predecessors to the photo contests. Photography is more readily accesible than photoshop/illustrator/etc, so the when the photo contests started to take off, the media contests started to decline.

I think if you made something entirely different it would be fine..
But the one you have made is EXACTLY like the one we have already ..except you limit the number of entries and that will not go over too well I believe...

And the topic is too narrow. I don't think there will be 20 people who can come up with a Polynesian picture. I know I have very few film pictures, but mine are inappropriate as it has people in it.

And yeah the rules are confusing :lol:
