A Lost Treat Returns - The Citrus Swirl Is Back

Hello all, wonderful news!

As of today, March 1st, the Citrus Swirl has returned to the Magic Kingdom's Sunshine Tree Terrace. And not the faux-Swirl they'd offered in later years, but the ORIGINAL, frozen-juice Citrus Swirl. It's back!

Dedicated individuals fought to bring this back, so we have to reward their efforts by juicing up early and often! Be sure to check it out when you're in Adventureland. They're yummy - I prefer them to Dole Whips quite a bit, and have been sad they were gone.

I have a picture of a brand-new, March 2012 Citrus Swirl here (if linking is kosher).

Awesome news! The citrus swirl was always a staple of my Magic Kingdom visits. I actually love it more than the beloved Dole Whip. I was saddened when they made the switch from frozen orange juice to "orange soft serve." I shall be sure to grab one the next time I'm at MK!

When I first saw "A Lost Treat Returns", my brain went to "Lost" the tv show. I still miss it, and thought maybe Disney was bringing a part of it to the parks, ha. But Citrus Swirl's look delicious as well.

I just went over to the MK for the sole reason of having one (yes, I know that's lame ). But it was fantastic - just like I remembered. It wasn't on the menu, so you just need to ask. I had written it off as another lost dessert, but I'm happy to see it return! Thanks for the heads up.
