A long time ago (ok, not too long..) in a land 1,164 miles from Chicago and 1,007 miles from Philly

Aloha everyone!

For those of you who don’t know me my name’s Rachel (19). Blackhawks fanatic, volleyball player, and Disney enthusiast! I am constantly on the boards creeping on everyone else’s trip reports because I love to reminisce and also hear about how magical other people’s trips are. So my very latest trip took place back in January. January 2nd-8th to be exact I went with my best friend, aka my mommy! Here is a picture of us from the lovely Brookfield Zoo in Chicago during my spring break.

So if I didn’t finish my last TR you’re all probably wondering “Why the heck is she starting another one, especially if it’s all the way back from January?!” Well.. it’s because chances are I won’t be taking a trip to the World this summer (I’ve been going every summer since Kindergarden! ) because I want to buy a car to bring with me to school in the fall, so that’s pretty costly.. and it seems like everyone I know is going to the World this summer, so I just want to reminisce all of the good times. AND my Blackhawks are down 3-2 in the series against the Detroit Fairy Wings, and even though I’m very hopeful and confident in my boys, I need something to do to keep my mind off of that series for a little bit

Enough chit-chat.. Are we ready?! Alright then, ON WITH THE SHOW!

So that's about it for this Trip Report, folks! Thank you all so much for reliving my trip with me! I'm still a newbie at writing these, but thanks for following along and being patient with me!

Now I know at the beginning of this report I said that unfortunately I was not going to be taking a trip to Disney this summer.
Well.... On Memorial Day while over at my grandma's, my mom and I were helping my aunt prepare for their upcoming trip and about an hour later my aunt asked me if I wanted to join them!
Soo.. I'M GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD! WHOO HOO!
AND we're leaving in T-minus 48 hours!! That's why I wanted to finish up this TR because I knew I would never have gotten it done if I would've waited til after the trip haha!
Alright well I've got to go pack because my uncle's picking me up tomorrow night to spend the night with them so we can leave at the crack of dawn Saturday morning! I'm so excited! I've never been with extended family before and this is their first time going! It's my aunt, uncle and 3 cousins so we should have a blast with the 17 hour car ride down

Boy, it's impressive to see how you WDW experts are able to decide what to ride and when. When we go in october I'm going to be referring to my Touring Plan after every ride.

Ah I was so sad your trip report was over and then BOOM you surprise us with a trip so soon! Yay- I'm jealous!! Random thoughts:

That cranberry muffin thing at LTT seriously pales in comparison to the Ooey Gooey Cake. Like, it wasn't even presented that well. Ooey Gooey all the way!

I feel gipped because of all the time I wasted by being too afraid of TOT. Seriously, it's like my favorite ride now and I can't believe I used to hate the Studios because I was stressed my mom would make me ride it.

Your airport story seriously made me tear up. I hate leaving my mom, too. It's part of the reason why I've decided to go to college 10 minutes from my house (but living with parentals and going to school does have its drawbacks too lol)

Have SO MUCH FUN on your trip!

Yes it definitely was not Disney worthy.. I guess they had gotten a new chef that changed some of the dinner menu up.. I cannot wait to try the ooey gooey awesomeness hopefully someday soon haha!
OMG SAME! I honestly used to HATE HS days because I would do the same and stress and worry over my parents tricking me to go on it! Soo glad I got over that phase because it is my all-time favorite ride now!
Haha yeah I'm very close with my parents, as I can tell you are too, so going 12 hours away from home is tough, but it's definitely a great experience!

I have done the Keys to the Kingdom tour as well and LOVED it! Felt so "special" walking around with our own tour guide!

I love love loved the tour and yes Illinois seems to be a popular place to come from haha!
AH YES! Luckily the hotel we stayed in last night had it on tv! I HAVE to go to espn club or something on Monday because I NEED to see them win the cup (hopefully)! They are my favorite- diehard fan! Haha!
