A First Timer's December 2010 Trip Report

After reading others trip reports and enjoying looking at all the wonderful pictures i have decided to write my own trip report. I am fairly new to Disney and took my first trip this past December with my boyfriend and our 3 year old son. We had started planning for this trip in 2008 and came across WDW magic which helped in all of my planning.

Making the trip happen was a lot of hard work. My boyfriend is a franchisse of a convenience store where i work as well. Even though we can set our own schedule we had to line up reliable and trustworthy staff and find someone to take care of things while we were gone so we would know things were taken care of and we wouldn't have to worry too much while on vacation. This was only our second vacation away from the store since we started with the store in 2003. So we were due!

My boyfriend let me do all the planning. I decided on everything we did and where we ate. I had to check out all the menues for the restaurants because my boyfriend is a very picky eater as well he is a complainer. I wanted him to have a good time and not find anything to complain about. I chose the first week of December so we could see all the Christmas decorations and i read the crowds were low at this time. I chose All Star Movies because my son is a huge Toy Story fan and i knew he would enjoy seeing the larger then life Buzz and Woody. We got the free quick service dining plan but i upgraded to the regular dining plan so we could do some character meals

Now if someone could help me out and explain how to post pictures on here i will be all set.

Day 7 Epcot

Our final day we spent at Epcot. We didn't get to see a whole lot of the park on our other Epcot day so i was looking forward to seeing some of the countries in World Showcase. We made our way to Norway for our Breakfast reservations at Akershus. What a great experience. We haven't had a chance to meet any of the princess's during out trip. And in my opinion i think we got five of the best Disney Princess's. The food wasn't anything special but the experience was worth it. And Cohen was really excited to meet Snow White because she is his favorite Princess.

Day 7 Epcot

So the only day that Cohen wore his Birthday pin was our first evening at Chef Mickey's so we thought because it was our last day there he should put it on. They brought him out a cupcake and he just loved that because he loves blowing out candles.

The three of us also got our picture taken with Belle when we first arrived and the picture was included with our meal. I don't have a scanner though so i'm unable to put it on here. belle kept calling Cohen " Young Prince" and he looked at her funny, when they snapped the picture he was giving her a dirty look.

We then headed over to the Imagination Pavillion. I loved it.We saw Figment and Captain EO and i loved them both. Chris fell asleep during Captain EO. Then we did this thing where they took Cohen's picture and put him in a picture with Mickey and the gang standing in front of Spacehip Earth and they made that into a puzzle. It didn't even take them 5 minutes to make it. What a great keepsake we have now and Cohen loves putting a puzzle together of himself.

We then headed to Innovations and had a great time there as well. After that we started out towards Italy for our Dinner reservations at Via Napoli. Cohen fell asleep in his stroller so we took our time and enoyed the surroundings.

Via Napoli was a nice restaurant. With all the hype over it i wanted to try it. Though the pizza isn't fantastic , it was good and you get a big portion. The desserts however are magnificent. I don't remember what it was we had but it sure was good.

Day 7 Epcot

We walked around the rest of World Showcase.and passed by the line of people in the standby line for the Candlelight Processional. I couldn't believe how long it was. It would have been nice to see but i don't think i would have been able to wait in line that long. And i don't think Cohen would have sat through it anyways.

After World Showcase we went back into Future World and headed over to Nemo one last time so Cohen could ride the clam shells again before we left. Then we headed back to the resort .We still had to pack and we had to be up early to catch the magical Express for 7am. I never got to see Illuminations on either Epcot day and there were several rides and attractions in all the parks that i never had a chance to experience. That is a great exscuse to go back right! So i booked a trip for this September. I hope you all enjoyed my trip report and look for my PTR for my upcoming trip soon.
