Just saw the video and it was great!

American Idol and WDW teaming up is turning out to be a great marketing machine.

I mean...

WDW was just advertised on a non-Disney show on a rival network on one of the biggest night's on TV!

I hope there's a lot more TV promos for WDW to come.

Yes, they do actually go to DisneyWorld. As far as I know, they ride in a parade one day. Remember when Nancy Kerigan showed her true colors and was sniping about Disney as she rode...and somehow her remarks were picked up?

Anyway, I hope he doesn't go until we're there next week! It was nice to see a hometown boy win...I lived in the next suburb over from Blue Springs for 16 years. Matter of fact, my younger son was born in Blue Springs. It was fun watching his hometown clips and seeing people and places we knew. Did anyone else catch Tim Grunhardt in the clips last week?

That said, the finale was so bizarre that they could have shouted "I'm going..." a dozen times and I would have missed it. Did anyone else have to change the channel when George Michael came on? That guy is a serious perv...it gave me the willies just watching him.

And what the heck was David Cook advertising during that straaaange Risky Business commercial? He is a decade too old for that...and like anyone wants to be compared to a crackpot like Tom Cruise these days.

Okay, snarkiness vented...I'm off to other posts!

He was advertising Guitar Hero - a video game in which you have to hit keys on a video controller represented as a "guitar" according to color. My husband has it, and at first I rolled my eyes at the game, but its addicting and has great music lol. I caught the end of David Cook's commercial and I wasn't quite sure if it was him or not, but when David A's came on... I figured it was David C in the one before. (Can I just say how confusing it would have been to have David Hernandez have been in the top 3? Just having 2 Davids was confusing enough lol)

But I have to say - The WDW commercial DEFINITELY beats the guitar hero one any day. And David's version of "When you wish upon a star" Was great - anyone know if this is available anywhere to download?

From a Kansas City girl - let's hear a woot for the hometown boy! Now we have an American Idol winner, 2 Extreme Makeover recipients, and 2 Survivor winners in our midsts! And, of course, Walt Disney himself hanging out in our fair city before heading on to bigger and better things. I believe I even attended the same High School that he did for a short time.

That was a really cool commercial.

It appears to me that he may have said the line after all the hoopla calmed down. It didn't seem like anyone was on the stage. Just my observation.

:D

David Cook appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno yesterday and mentioned the Ad along with WDW yesterday.

Out of all the things that must have happened to him over the past 2 days, that Ad was the one thing that stood out in his mind and he found special enough to mention it on the show.

I thought that was pretty cool.
