A Captain EO permit has been Filed

I would hope they've cleaned it up a bit... :lookaroun

It's still going to be on film, like HISTA. That theater hasn't gone digital yet, and I haven't seen any permits that lead me to believe they're doing any actual projection work on the theater.

While they may have remastered the film, it'll still be film, and the same content as before.

Right. Until he died, MJ was looking for the "real" criminals with OJ.

Really so how is he a child molester when he wasnt found guilty of it? Sure there was drug problems, but who cares. The man was a genius.

When Lucas bites the dust I hope they bring the original Star Tours back.

And I hope the people who are hooraying now are still that excited in two years from now when the 3D film with no in theater effects is still there.

And if that's how you feel, steer clear of it. Not that difficult.

Bottom line is, whether the show is good or not is not why I'm glad it's coming back. MJ was a legend, thats not up for debate. As far as what he did or didn't do outside of music is up for debate. And also, he's dead! So this is more of a tribute than anything else. Screw the quality being bad, I can think of more than enough crappy quality shows at WDW that are still there minus a music legend. And besides, I can see people actually wanting to see this.

People are gonna believe what they want to believe regardless of what "evidence" is shown or not. Whether he was or wasn't is debatable. Whether he was one of the greatest musicians to ever grace the stage is not. And while we shouldn't forget the controversy surrounding him and act like he wasn't a troubled individual, we should remember what his job was, and that was making amazing music and being an amazing performer. And because he has passed, the tribute is bringing back EO. It may not be the greatest 3d film and far from it, but it showcases MJ and what he did best.

It's less a tribute and more of a capitalization....

True, but it can also be seen as a tribute.

And everytime there's a thread about EO, it always ends negative. This thread was supposed to be about how the project is progressing, but there always has to be someone bashing MJ. I can see bashing the show and understand the controversy surrounding MJ, but let the guy rest in peace. And to all the people who are against it, whether they like it or not its coming, so they might as well get over it.

If you want him to rest in peace, leave the show in the dustbin. There was never a mention of reviving it until his passing. Tributes can be paid to people while they're alive as well.

True, but now is the best time to do so imo, and I think disney agree$$:D

And with EO maybe some of the cynics can remember MJ the performer, and less about MJ the person.

WDI is currently considering converting Journey Into Your Imagination - into - Journey Into Michael's Imagination. :lookaroun

As for the never-ending did he/didn't he debate, the fact is that allegations were made by those who simultaneously sought large monetary payouts - and whether true or not - that fact of a combined financial motive will forever stink as bad as the utilidors below the Magic Kingdom.

Also, no one is immune from allegations, including Walt Disney himself. A review of some historical/biographical literature makes this clear. Of course, I dare not go an further on that issue because, on this board, that would be considered utterly blasphemous. :zipit:
