A camera question for all you Disney photographers out there!

I picked one up at epcot... eh, quality is pretty crappy

Oh really darn. I have a nice strap on my P&S and was hoping for a nice one for the new DSLR. Well we will see..i am sure it the same strap you can get anywhere on property. Was going to get mine from HS. Fisrt store as you walk into the park on the right...just past the stroller rental!!

Glad to see there are still smart people in the world! Another benefit to purchasing a higher end model, is that they tend to hold their value a little better than the entry level ones do. So, if you end up not liking the camera, don't use it often, etc. you can still get a pretty good resale out of it.

Thanks! I had been leaning towards a Nikon anyway - mainly because most of my friends with DSLR's have a Nikon, so I'm familiar with the quality. At the moment, my local shop has the 3100 and 7000 in stock, awaiting the arrival of the 5100. If I had to choose between the two in stock cameras, I'd just go with the 3100 based on price. Anxious for the 5100 to arrive so I can check it out and get moving on this! Glad to know that the resale is higher...hadn't really considered that!

Strap - the one I found is black/white/grey and is Mickey's head in a film strip. I found quite a few of them on ebay and lucked out getting one for a fairly decent price! I guess I can wear it around like a necklace until I get the camera! :ROFLOL:

Is the one you bought red with gloves, shoes, etc. in the print? I saw that one at DHS when we were there in early March. Had it in my hand, but thought I'd check to see what I could find online first. I'm assuming that one will still be in the parks when we go back later this year if I opt for another!

correct... its pretty crappy but whatever, looks good but feels CHEAP
