999 Happy haunts?

I was just sitting here and for some reason the haunted mansion popped in my mind. The whole "999 happy haunts here- room for one more" thing doesn't make much sense. At least it seems to me like there may be a little more to it then that 999 is 666 upside down. Anyone else think this is too strange or a coincidence to be overlooked.

Im sure anything satanic has nothing to do with it. It's just a coincidence. Walt himself helped with this idea.

"There are 999 Happy Haunts here...but there's room for a thousand." It's just one of those things that's meant to stick in your mind. I would think the 666 thing is just numerical coincidence. 999 is 1,000-1, period.

It just seems like an odd coincidence, it also appears the ride was originally much more scary in the planning stages, even a little occultish. At least that's what I got from the book about "the haunted mansion". I know 999 + 1 =1000
But I still think its weird.

"There are seven hunderd and thirty eight happy haunts here but there's room for seven hundred and thirty nine".

Nah, I think it just sounded better.

Still, you could try running the soundtrack backwards and see what you come up with :D

I wonder if anyone else has spotted the inverse 999 thing?
