Trip Report Bibbidi Bobbidi Bump

Okay y'all... I have been putting off starting this TR because I know it is going to be a good while before we return to WDW and it just makes me feel SO SAD. But.. Hoping that reliving this awesome babymoon trip will cheer me up.

So, here we go!

When: May 3-7, 2025
Where: Pop Century
Who: me (Annie) and my husband (Ian)
Why: our babymoon for our second baby girl due in September!

intro.jpg

My 3-year-old, Nora, stayed home with my parents and our dog Gus and was pretty jealous lol. We definitely got some comments from folks about us going without her... but I truly have NO idea when we will get a trip just us two again, so I knew this was what I wanted!

intro 2.jpg

Another warning if you didn't read my updates on my last TR about this one.. I am a pregnant lady who rides rides. I basically skipped out on Tron, Space Mountain, and a few others that made me a little worried. And guess what? Me and baby are a-okay.

Anyway... let's do this!!

Until a week before this trip, our plans had us flying into Orlando from Boston at 5 AM on Sunday the 4th. I was working an event during the day on the 3rd, so we felt we couldn't push it. Until, that is, we saw that we could change our flight to 9 pm on the 3rd and use our Marriott points to stay the night to wake up Sunday in Orlando!

So.. that is exactly what we did!

My parents came over to watch Nora around 5 PM and then we headed to the bus to take us to Logan airport in Boston. It was downpouring horrendously but we made it safely.

Of course, as soon as we arrived at the airport we find out the flight has been delayed.

No worries, we will get some dinner. NOT QUITE. Nothing was open!!!

We opted for a bunch of snacks instead.

1.jpg

Quick bump pic before the flight.

2.jpg

We booked super cheap Spirit flights, so our expectations were low, but we ended up with an empty middle seat - score!!

3.jpg

I had been hoping to sleep on the flight but no such luck for me. Ian got a few winks but was in and out quite a bit. It seemed to go quickly though, especially for me as I had just done a Boston to San Francisco flight the week prior!

After grabbing our checked bag, we waited for our Uber. It was around 1230 AM at this time.

4.jpg

We used our points to get a room at a Courtyard Marriott on I Drive. It was fine. We didn't need anything other than a place to lay our heads and it served its purpose.

We probably got 4 hours of sleep or so before we were up and getting ready to go drop our bags at Pop!

Fit check:

5.jpg

6.jpg

Our Uber took FOREVERRRRRR but eventually we made it to Pop and checked our bags with Bell Services before heading to the Skyliner.

7.jpg

We were HS bound and hoping to make it in before Early Entry ended! Now, I did not realize that it was May the 4th when planning this trip. Our main focus was to NOT be at Epcot for Cinco de Mayo so this one slipped past me lol

8.jpg

It was pretty overcast but comfy out.

We walked into the park at 815 and headed straight for MMRR!

We made it on and off MMRR so quickly that it was still early entry by the time we exited!

11.jpg

We also remarked to each other in line how carefree we felt NOT wrangling a toddler while waiting lol

We decided to head to Toy Story Land next.

12.jpg

Time to get into the competitive spirit on Mania!

13.jpg

14.jpg

15.jpg

It was pretty close right up until the end, but Ian DID ultimately beat me.

16.jpg

As we exited I suggested heading to Swirling Saucers, but when Ian saw that Slinky was a 40 minute wait he said LET'S DO IT.

Okay boss lol

17.jpg

It actually worked out well to be in that line for a bit as it had started drizzling. Also, we had never been in the standby line!

18.jpg

There had been multiple warnings during our wait that the ride could close at any minute do to incoming storms, but luckily we made it on.

19.jpg

We got a bit wet but still had lots of fun! Not a great attraction photo though!

I should also note that it only took us about 25 minutes in the line, not bad!

By the time we exited, it was coming down pretty hard. We walked QUICKLY over to saucers.

20.jpg

We honestly wouldn't have minded a longer wait to stay out the rain (I had ponchos BACK IN MY LUGGAGE lol) but it only took 5 minutes before we were on.

21.jpg

The rain was coming down even harder when we exited and our first LL wasn't until 1130 for ToT. We were hungry though, so we decided to just take on the rain to go get our favorite snack.

22.jpg

Please note how soaked I am in this photo 😅

23.jpg

We saw that Tower of Terror was only a 15 minute wait after our snack, so we decided to brave the rain again and head that way.

Of course.. our standby line stopped right before we were covered and we continued to get drenched LOL

Once covered, I had to document the rain!

24.jpg

25.jpg

We had a great ride, and FINALLY the rain had let up by the time we exited.

26.jpg

We decided to hit up the Indiana Jones show next.

27.jpg

28.jpg

.... until we made it there and were told the first show of the day was cancelled. DARN IT.

Who? Who made comments about going on your own trip just the two of you?? Give me their names - I’m still a southern girl. I’ll tell them off, in a ‘bless your heart way’. lol. 😆

Seriously though - some people just like to hear themselves talk. And they need to learn that not everything you think - needs to be said out loud.

Looking forward to this report!

You would think that working in higher education that summer would be quiet but... here I am busy busy AND pregnant lol

Finally enough time for a TR update!

Where were we?

Upon discovering that the Indiana Jones show was cancelled, we made our way back to the BatB show at 11. We grabbed some pictures along the way.

30.jpg

We were DRENCHED but still cute hah!

32.jpg

33.jpg

This is when I decided I wanted a bump pic in every park!

34.jpg

Our ToT picture also popped up around this time

31.jpg

We headed into the show just in time and enjoyed as always!

35.jpg

Ian wanted a final ride on RnRc, so we headed that way in the single rider line

36.jpg

37.jpg

38.jpg

He enjoyed, I got final pictures!

We had a LL for ToT to use before heading out for our mid day break
39.jpg

57.jpg

After our elevator ride, we were more than ready for a break. It was only past noon, so our room at Pop wasn't ready yet but I was prepared to beg. After our late night and early morning, we needed it.

42.jpg

We love afternoons getting our our Skyliner gondola!

43.jpg

And back to Pop. We also needed FOOD. Desperately.

44.jpg

45.jpg

The sun had returned! Which was great because you may remember, my idea of a break is pool time while Ian's involves a nap lol

We grabbed some chicken parms and our refillable mugs and scarfed it down.

46.jpg

Once I was full, I left Ian to go inquire with the front desk. I told them that I truly didn't care where they put us, we just wanted a room.

I also got us Babymoon buttons :inlove:

47.jpg

The castmember was able to get us a room in the 50s section which we were happy with. In fact, we were there for our FIRST babymoon!!

The warm welcome really never gets old!

51.jpg

You've all seen the Pop rooms, but a quick bathroom view for you here!

52.jpg

We quickly unpacked because I cannot function living out of a suitcase, even on a short trip like this one.

Then I left Ian to his nap and headed to the pool to relax and read.

53.jpg

I also had to recreate a bump picture from my babymoon with Nora.

2025:
54.jpg

The water was refreshing and some time off our feet was just want we needed. After we showered up, we headed back to use some LLs, have dinner, and finally watch Fantasmic. We haven't watched in a number of years because it's always been just too late for Nora.

Another solo Skyliner ride.

58.jpg

The park was PACKED with May the 4th goers. So many costumes that looked INCREDIBLY sweaty in the heat. It was amazing people watching though tbh.

59.jpg

Our first LL was for Slinky, so we headed that way.

We spotted Woody passing through, so I took a picture to send to my parents for Nora.

60.jpg

I think the below was a Buzz pose? I don't know y'all 😅

Time for round two on Slinky!

Much less wet this time.

63.jpg

After our ride, I had to take a picture of Ian with his alien shirt

64.jpg

Ian LOVES these shirts from RSVLTS, and has one for each park plus some spares. It has become a fun Father's Day/anniversary/etc. present for him every year.

It was soooooo hot, so we opted for a frozen treat next.

65.jpg

It did the trick and gave us the power to push on to our next LL at MMRR.

66.jpg

The film was not working, so we walked on through straight to the ride.

Our dinner tonight was at Prime Time! It had been a couple trips since we'd been, so we were excited.

67.jpg

We were seated probably 15-20 minutes past our reservation time, but were happy with our table.

68.jpg

We were on the dining plan, so opted for the PB&J shakes for our drinks. So so yummy.

69.jpg

My meal was the sampler - always a hit.

70.jpg

Ian went a bit lighter with the salmon but said it was also delicious.

71.jpg

We were stuffed, but as I said dining plan, so we got desserts just to try. They were fine but we were in pain at this point LOL

Just popping in to say your dress is SO. CUTE. Looking forward to reading more about your trip! 😊
Thank you!! :)
Loving your TR! We were in HS on May 4th too! Wish we could have run into each other!!
Ian makes fun of me because I constantly am on alert looking for fellow TR-ers but I have the worst luck!! I wish I would've spotted your crew!
I was just going to ask if that was a RSVLTS shirt. I love them!
Good eye! They are really the best!

With our bellies EXTRA full, we headed to a sad farewell.

74..jpg

75.jpg

76.jpg

I actually teared up at one point LOL, I am such a sap. I will and always do learn to love the new and innovative but I am a DEEPLY nostalgic gal.

77.jpg

78.jpg

I really took about a million pictures of the area, for the mems!

79.jpg

80.jpg

Finally, it was time to head to Rise for our ILL.

I have zero photos from exiting the Muppets area to being in the preshow because Galaxy's Edge was UTTER MADNESS. I was losing my mind. I think I got poked by 100 lightsabers at minimum.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Anyways....

81.jpg

82.jpg

Despite the unreal crowds, I was glad we rode one of our faves!

Finally it was time for our long-awaited viewing of the updated Fantasmic!

We headed that way, again through endless crowds of people.

83.jpg

84.jpg

This area at night is just :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

85.jpg

86.jpg

While waiting, the lightsaber gang was really active. I would've thought it was cooler if I wasn't still recovering being assaulted by them over and over lol

87.jpg

Time for the show!

88.jpg

89.jpg

We really enjoyed and were so grateful to have the opportunity to see it together just us two.

We made it back to Pop pretty quickly after that with pretty normal lines for the Skyliner.

We pulled down the second bed for me because me and sleep during pregnancy... not fun. I needed my space!

90.jpg

It was such a great (albeit a bit wet) first day. We were looking forward to another!
