Whatever Happened to Stitch's Great Escape? Any Updates on That Space?

I completely overlooked the area where Stitch's Great Escape and Alien used to be! I totally forgot!

A few years back, there were rumors about Wreck-It Ralph possibly taking over that space, but since COVID, I haven't heard anything new. Honestly, I had forgotten it even existed, but it seems like such a wasted opportunity for the Magic Kingdom and Tomorrow land.

Does anyone know any updates on what's planned for that area? Honestly, I'd be thrilled with just a meet-and-greet at this point. Also, just a side note: I really enjoyed Stitch's Great Escape! I know it wasn't popular with most guests, but I was always puzzled by that since Stitch is such a beloved character.

To each their own but most people hated this Stitch attraction. Myself being one of them. AE was one of my favorite attractions and was sad when it was shut down. By the way, why was it shut down it always seemed popular when I was there?

That being said Disney seems to abandon places and ignore them while they teardown and rebuild other rides. There is this space along with the pavilion between what is now GotG and Mission Space, Also the gap between Germany and China (it's like World Showcase was never finished).

just venting

Both had completely different purposes. Alien was to frighten, it did, and the snowflakes of the world rebelled. I thought it was well done and hardly scarry if you were over 10 years old.

Stitch was more for comic relief and I thought it was a good replacement, but then the rest of the snowflakes couldn't wrap their heads around the humor of the chili burps and other flying liquids. Water BTW! The main problem is that there are two theaters in that building and instead of just cleaning it out and making one big show, they just let it sit and waste away.

People don't read warning signs, then when there are consequences for not reading warning signs, instead of making a point to read signs and try to pick up on context clues better they instead go complain that they didn't know Extra-TERROR-estrial was going to be terrifying.
