Lightning Lane Premier Pass

I get all of that. But do you really think they made up being “sold out” 10 days in a row as a marketing ploy?!? Like i said i was there & LL lines have not been that long in yearsssss. Cant blame DAS anymore so.
By “sold out” it could mean 200 per day, 500 per day or 1000 per day. We have no idea how many they make available.

It’s somehow surprising that the offering with lower numbers offered sells out but the mainstream offering with higher available slots doesn’t?

I mean the statement that LLmp had to be made, 1) it drives sales, and 2) even if the number available is super high they don’t want to deal with complaints if/when a super busy day like Xmas or new years comes around and llmp does sell out and you have people complaining who didn’t book early enough
The price is getting steep for this but is it a matter of being able to ride what you want when you want? I’m not paying $900 for my wife and I for MK. But with LLMP gives you times and certain rides correct ? Or can you pick the rides and times to go? I usually use the single pass because I can pick a time I want.

Not sure what you mean.

The Premier Pass lets you ride anything that has an LL queue at any time you want. Just turn up and tap in.

For the MultiPass and SinglePass, you book a specific time.

But that was basically my point. Anyone claiming any numbers or percents are pulling them out of their a$$… same with AH events & Party nights. Again. I can say & maybe im in minority in past my LL wait times have not been that bad this past trip was the worst in a very very long time again im
Not saying we were waiting 30 minutes but a solid 15 -20 on most were the norm where in past it was less than 10 always

The relatively average standby lines don't seem to justify the high prices.

It looks like whatever algorithm they have for pricing these things weeks in advance injected some pixie dust.

I think it is just people that have the money and want the convenience of walking up whenever they want and riding a ride with minimal wait. Just the ease is worth it to them - somewhat similar to paying for the after hours as that makes it easy to ride things too - this is just ramped up the cost and for the full day

I also think for some FP+, etc trained people that any sort of standby wait is bad and should be avoided or is like an achievement to avoid it - even if only 20mins

Thats exactly it. Listen so many people i know who have gone recently literally have boughten this. Money was an after thought. The convenience outweighed the extra 4-5k spent. If you have money & its gonna make your trip better certain people will buy it. These are also people who on past have paid for tours whether approved or unapproved so in theory they felt they were saving money… again im not saying this is for everyone but my gf just took her 2 kids for 1st time trip has DAS bc of her daughter and still wanted to buy this bc of the convenience vs having to deal with the app etc bc lets face it i finally will admit that for newbies it can be a little confusing at 1st

For Disney it definitely is a rip-off, just due to price and how limited it is. IMO it's well worth it at Universal.
That’s a completely different product…and the fact you can get it with a hotel stay - which you kinda need anyway - is an incredible value

Apples and oranges.

Fastpass was genius. A fantastic idea…

Them waiting 25 years and now saying “…um…just kidding…we need more money so we want double express pass price and it doesn’t really work…”

Is not genius…it’s rather pathetic

Still a ridiculous price…but if you want to see the angle it would make the most sense for those that don’t go often…I can see that

Anyone here? You’ve lost your minds

Dozens of visits…vacation club…
For old kiddie rides (mostly)…

You’ve kinda lost your mind in that boat

Not everyone on this forum goes often.

More than likely because crowds are light…not because of line skip upsells

We don’t know

And since there is no definition of “sold out”…it can be whatever they want it to be.

It could be 10…or a 1,000

Sold out could mean very popular…or not popular and presented as so to do FOMO and try to boost future sales…

There is no number (Disney never and will never release any of those) and there is no “regulation” of the product. We all agree to go with whatever they say in the small print when you buy a ticket.

I don’t know about manipulation of lifting lane

But after hours? I don’t buy the “sell out” for a second…it’s 1000% in their interest to close the sales window right before and announce “sell out”…every single time

A majority is not everyone. Otherwise we wouldn’t have a need for trip planning sub-forums.

As for that second point, that’s BS. Par for the course though.
Semantics today?

If majority works…I’m cool with that. As I’ve said 1,000 times…there are no individuals in the Disney pricing matrix…it’s all about maximum numbers to provide maximum yield. As Wall Street demands it.

The “some people think it’s worth it”…doesn’t cut it. And it’s bad for the consumers…not so much for the vloggers.

Truth be told…they’d sell this to everyone at a lesser price if they could…but the Iger era lack of capacity investment eliminated that possibly. So enjoy the “luxury” now 👍🏻

Again im not denying anything you say…

Other than 2 families everyone else were people either making a trip there and who probably will be back no time soon and others who just have eff you money where it doesnt matter. They dont wanna be there half of them anyways so this is perfect kids happy wife happy and they dont gotta wait in any line or deal w any app.

Again it may or may not be a marketing ploy for AH events and parties but they “sell out” way too early imo for them to constantly being cutting sales. I can honestly say any “sold out” party ive been to have had the same feel
Crowd wise for most part none of them sensed any less crowds where it was a “lie” again. Thats 1 party a year i get it but just using myself as a reference.
If things “sold out” day of them yes i would agree but we have sold out nights deep what are they gaining?

Semantics? No.

This is what you wrote:

Every time I’ve visited WDW, there’s been a new friggin “Fastpass” system. And each time I have adapted and learned how the latest system works, in advance, so that I can use it to maximum effect.

Coming for longer trips but infrequently doesn’t mean we feel we can just skip some things “because we can do it next time”. There may not be a next time.

So if we do return and there’s an option to forget the planning and just ride everything in MK in a day without having to plan at all, then you bet I’ll consider it.
