Seems like mid January is when the current version closes now. Closed January 17th 2017 to add Trump, and January 21st 2021 for Biden. I would imagine they'll take the current one down after Christmas.

That is the big question. In my opinion, I think Disney is going to take this opportunity to completely change the attraction and the president elect will not be speaking when it reopens.

Devil’s Advocate: Politics were not nearly this heated and divisive for most of the HoP’s life. It honestly started in the 2000s and got worse over time. Doesn’t matter who you vote for, it’s a fact that things are way more heated- not at the fault of your average American, but those in power who pushed for things to be this divided.

If Trump had lost the popular vote I think the decision would be a a little harder for Disney, but considering he's well on his way to winning it and a landslide in the electoral college, I don't see how Disney could make major changes to the attraction without attracting large amounts of controversy. If they do decide to keep him speaking, a new speech would be nice, but failing that a new AA because my God it barely looks like him.

Personally, I would like to see HoP reopen with the president elect having his speaking part.

I have a feeling TWDC does not agree with me and when it reopens, the president elect will not be speaking.

Oh I absolutely agree. There's no reason why Biden was left without a speech, but I suspect that we will have the same kind of deal with Trump assuming they let him speak at all. Disappointingly.

The Trump figure was fixed when they installed Biden. It's likely the figure does not speak, however, and so if they intend to keep the tradition of the president giving a speech it would need to be updated again.
