for sure - I hope what winds up happening is similar to what is going on now at Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland where they leverage the main park's fireworks but then have different music, etc to provide a different experience

I think that would be cool to have a villains version of the show going on ... would help spread the crowd some (and from Disney's end they can sell more dessert parties)
And add projection mapping to the villain castle, center it the way Cinderella's castle is with the launch site and it's perfect

Here are some of my hopes for the land being able go into any the villains residencies including maleficent’s castle a big major dark ride that is not a roller coaster but more family oriented villains walking around Disneyland style a table service restaurant that is actually thematic like think whispering canyon or 50s prime time cafe or a character dining experience a shop themed to cruella de vil where you can buy her clothing which would be awesome an evil queen themed candy Apple Store and than include a quick service themed to a villain and also would love to see in character employees like in galaxy’s edge

I'm doing research for an Imagineer series I'm launching and found something exciting. Chris Beatty, the Portfolio Executive Creative Director on all of the WDW projects right now, is a big fan of Hades:

"During the roundtable discussion Beatty explained the process of designing a new attraction with a focus on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the close working relationship WDI shares with Feature Animation to help accurately portraying characters, and for good measure, his favorite Disney character. Spoiler: It’s Hades."

If Hades has a big role in Villains Land, well, this explains it.

That would make sense. Hades was the main villain for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, and in that they showed him resurrecting the dead villains.

I still think a River Styx boat ride would be a great way to transition from The Haunted Mansion to Villains Land.

He’s been voiced almost exclusively by James Woods in everything from the films, to short films, to video games, to attractions, for three decades now. Will be interesting to see if that’s still the case.

With Hercules getting a new musical and one of the shows on the Destiny, it wouldn't surprise me if Hades was featured. I'm 100% cool with more Hercules representation.

I've always wanted a Greece pavillion at Epcot with a Hercules ride in the back so I'll take this lol.

Seems he’ll always do it until the day he sadly passes and honestly I love that he loves playing Hades so much because I can’t imagine anyone else lol

I think it would be a great ride to introduce all of the villians, notably the dead ones in a way to revive them to take over and explain a lot of the other parts of the land.
Mr. Toads: The guest is sentenced to Hell for a short time.

Hades Afterlife Adventure: The guests are brought on a Dante’s Inferno-like tour with all the dead villains with Hades as your Virgil.
