Whether or not it underdelivers isn’t the point. The point is Disney is already light years ahead of the competition. While universal is (hopefully) just hitting a creative renaissance. I don’t even disagree on some of the projects they’re referring to being flawed in some areas but the momentum is there. And 5 years isn’t that long in the grand sceme of things especially when a good part of your audience couldn’t go for 5 years because of Covid-19.

I agree, saying other wise would imply that Disney doesn't have any lands/attractions on par with Epic.

Maybe he did mean “offensive” the other way? Because that’s a rather pathetic track record for 4 parks over that period. They did shut some things down without replacement…some socially acceptable reskins…and Rat…

Epcot was built in 3 years flat…with practically no CAD…

It was the largest private construction project at its time…ever

But the goal was to get it done

That is not the case now. 4 years to build a rollercoaster is not a reasonable timeline based on today’s technology

I'll take jabs at Disney, Burbank, TDO, et al., where warranted, but the BTM re-track is not a "less than one year" simple track replacement job.

That one I’m not so critical of…if…if it doesn’t open exaclty the same. There is no legitimate reason why they can’t have the Anaheim blast effects…do your jobs
A track redesign is also in order…as the wdw version is tangibly inferior as well…but that is a pipe dream I’m sure

On the flip side, Lakeshore Lodge will have been 8 years from announcement to opening. Even DVC suffers.

The Disneyland version has much better pacing, Flow, enjoyment to it. That might just be my perception…it just is how it feels. Layout is kinda backwards to the wdw version…just makes it a better ride
