I'm thinking it will close a year after Dino Rama closed, as that's when the crowds die down a little, enough to remove park capacity (and Zootopia will be open by then to help with that capacity removal)
"Winter 2025" is all Disney has said for the Z******* thing opening, so January is no guarantee. And unless they increase the capacity or shorten the show, max hourly is 2500. That's not going to do much (nor does the subject material magically attract every guest in the park).

Okay, to anyone who'd know... Should I expect Dinosaur to be open by January 10th? I arrive in Orlando January 6th, so, just getting prepared.
I would say yes, but that might be very close to the last day. I think they wait until after Marathon weekend (which is the 7-11) and then it closes a similar to date to when Dinorama closed this year (which was the 12th)

Please don't take this the wrong way, and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you one of the insiders on this site hah? Shouldn't you have the best idea or know when it's closing?
I play a game of telephone and tell y'all what the phones ring with, I don't like being called an insider, never have D:.

I assume operations would largely decide who stuff closes? The phone lines I got didn't really come from operations side of things. But honestly I've been cagey dropping stuff because of the communications war that was Monsters Inc haha. First I was told "it's Muppets!" and told y'all it was Muppets, then it shifted to "it's AC!" "Nuh uh, it's Muppets!" and y'all know how that story ended.

I personally believe they had plans for both and it was a last minute call but, alas.

I'm just a worried fangirl she won't get her last ride on Dinosaur in this scenario.

You're all good!!!! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me haha!

I am sorry for calling you an insider! I do appreciate you and everything you have given to this community!!

You gotta understand my confusion when I read that, though, thinking to myself like "wait, am I confused and this is the wrong account that sometimes has little tidbits??" hahah 🤣 😂

And I'm with you with the back and forth with Muppets and AC. I 100% believe it kept switching.

I recently went on Dinosaur and they had almost EVERYTHING working. It was so magical! I really hope you get at least one more ride with everything working!

Yeah, save that “insider” tag for the real insider - a bonafide Disney dooooood.

Typically when they close things in January, they do it on the first Monday after the New Year. Not a guarantee, but I could absolutely see this closing right after the new year, especially if Better Zoogether opens in December.

The Indiana Jones ride is just a retheme of Dinosaur; it's using the existing Dinosaur ride system.
I would expect they would at least upgrade the ride system knowing how much downtime the Indy ride at Disneyland has on a regular basis. Indy for sure will have more complex show scenes than Dinosaur.

How much of the downtime at Disneyland is due to the ride system, and not other circumstances?

I can say on our trip last year, we never had an issue riding Indy.

You got very lucky with your visit. When we were living in San Diego, we'd visit every few months and the ride is regularly down at least once daily (for hours at a time). I'd say in the last 10 years of riding it, we've had it break while riding at least 3 times and were given complementary fast passes for a different ride at least 10 times for it.

The vehicles are on a track. They'll build the new 'story' around where those tracks go. They won't change the current placement of the tracks.

The movement of the vehicles then get programmed as to stop and go and sideways spine breakers.
