Good to know we will have all of 2025 and some of 2026 to enjoy DINOSAUR!!
Not sure what it means for Tropical Americas, but Josh did say dirt was moving so....
Through 2025 is pretty big. I was a bit worried that the announcement at D23 wouldn't give people enough time to go visit it before it closes, but if it's really open through all of 2025, then there's plenty of time for people to plan to go give it once last go around. Makes me hope the Alioramus comes back...In a new update on the Disney Parks Blog, an image was included in the post that appears to imply Dinosaur will be open and available to ride through 2025:

It really seems like the easiest solution that makes the most people happy. Change it into Indy stumbling upon a secret underground world filled with dinosaurs with the entrance being the temple. Only animatronic you'd really need to replace is Aladar, and given how he looks like an actual Iguanodon on the ride and not the movie Aladar, you don't even really need to, strictly speaking.I love both. I’d be fine with either outcome, I’ll be happy either way.
But Why couldn’t we have Indiana Jones Fights Dinosaurs: The Ride?
That just sounds awesome.
IMO, Encanto was always gonna be the bigger lift. Indy is more about retooling a building that's already there, which is doable in a year.Good to know we will have all of 2025 and some of 2026 to enjoy DINOSAUR!!

Really hope this means they're gonna give Dinosaur a big send off. I want merch, I want an event, and I want the ride looking its best. Hell, bring back Countdown To Extinction as the name near the end. I'm sad to see it go but if it has to leave they should make it a celebration. Also with an extra 6 months to a year of life, it makes sense why they've been repairing a bunch of the effects. Maybe the Allioramus will make a return? In a new update on the Disney Parks Blog, an image was included in the post that appears to imply Dinosaur will be open and available to ride through 2025:

Expansion Plot? Also I'm shocked they aren't leaving the C&H giftshop building standing and reusing it as retail.I did a blog post that looked at the SFWMD filings for Tropical Americas, and then made some educated guesses about where and what everything is. Here's the end result map:

Does this re-gruntle the Walt?THANK THE LORD! Something to look forward to for our trip this summer!
That area is all currently all backstage. They'll likely keep it as backstage so they don't have to theme the show buildings on either sideExpansion Plot? Also I'm shocked they aren't leaving the C&H giftshop building standing and reusing it as retail.

Don't push it! There's still going to be construction walls everywhere and the destruction of much of what I love. But Dinosaur spent YEARS in my top spot and the chance to ride it one last time (more realistically, multiple times) is something I will cherish. And then mourn as they destroy it.Does this re-gruntle the Walt?
Made to resemble ancient cut stone, not a mountain or cliff which is what the sample seems to emulate.Isn't the Mayan temple new rockwork?
Well the good news is if Disney admits it will close sometime in 2026 I am sure the date will slide further and we will have Dinosaur all of 2025 and 2026Don't push it! Seriously, that's a no-brainer. Bring back the name!If there isn’t a billboard that says “Countdown to Extinction” on I-4 next year, they’re all fired.
Because there will be movement. Just on the Encanto side of the area. Why does Disney announce "shovels in the ground" when there won't be any movement for at least a year and a half after they say so.
I feel Disney announces all their projects way too early.
I think they are starting the rest of the land, and have already started some work on it, but just leaving Dino till the end.Why does Disney announce "shovels in the ground" when there won't be any movement for at least a year and a half after they say so.

To generate buzz and get people to book vacations based on rough ideas, blue-sky concepts, and talk of "dirt moving". Gotta make that FOMO money. Why does Disney announce "shovels in the ground" when there won't be any movement for at least a year and a half after they say so.

I wonder when this area will be done 2027? Again seems like just too soon to announce this stuff even if working on it incrementally.Because there will be movement. Just on the Encanto side of the area.
Because Disney is shoveling the BSWhy does Disney announce "shovels in the ground"
I think they’ll try to at least get Encanto open by late May.I wonder when this area will be done 2027? Again seems like just too soon to announce this stuff even if working on it incrementally.
