I see some subtle nods to the films like Jack’s flag, ships in bottles, East India Trading Co. logo above the fireplace, and what appears to be a portrait of Barbossa. Hopefully they all make it into the real thing.

I sure hope there are moving (at least talking) skeletons, wind storms, Kraken tentacles and/or heavy fog effects...

It's very much a "pirate themed bar" as apposed to something that looks like a tavern from the town you see in the ride

But it'll still be more interesting than abandoned retail space.

Disney now considers excessive theming gauche. We go to theme parks for subtlety, after all.

I agree the original concept was better but Disney clearly states this is a different room/space from the original artwork.

“Take a peek at another new space guests will find inside, and there are going to be some special surprises that Pirates fans will love.”

So it seems like we’ll get a room that is more tavern/bar like and then a more laid back room which the new artwork depicts.

It again is under-themed and more "usual"...Looks like a hotel bar/lounge with pirate some pirate theme decor added... Not the tavern where Pirates would have gone...Which I think is more what most people were hoping for...Something VERY themed and theatrical....with special effects and that touch of Disney Magic.... Not the Marriott Hotel "Pirates Bar" as it appears in this latest art...It should appear as an extension of the ride show sets... Part of the Pirate's world... Boo again.
I am really starting to be more concerned about what sort of corporate hospitality design the Villain's land is going to be if they are flubbing this.,
