So, from what I can gather, this won't actually be reminiscent of World of Motion at all?

We don't even know anything about the ride experience itself publicly. So, from what I can gather, this won't actually be reminiscent of World of Motion at all?

I just hope they come up with something to make the section that was the no ABS/ABS demonstration in 1.0 make the motion make sense. Not that it really felt like you were skidding in 1.0. I don't think it is possible to actually simulate locked up wheels skidding when the vehicle is being driven by rolling wheels.Sure we do -- it'll be the exact same ride experience* as Test Track 1.0 and Test Track 2.0.
*I don't actually believe this; the themed content is the most important part of the attraction (and as you said, we know little to nothing about that) -- just reminiscing about the claims that Tiana would be the same ride as Splash since the drops and track weren't changing. We do at least know what the physical experience will be like!
Again, as I mentioned there was nothing showcasing any AA's for this attraction as WoM had a bunch...I still feel it will be projection heavy and this is not going by Epic Universe comparison of ride wise "wowness"
Yes...............well................ahh..................but..................the thing is.......................Funny how issues like not worrying about hiding views of outside the park, leaving big blue show buildings and backstage in plain view, etc. are no big deal in one case and everything is a sign of penny pinching in the interests of corporate greed in the other.
It's supposed to be inspired by it...They never said this was going to be WOM, it's going to be Test Track.
and why are we comparing a 20 year old rides update to a brand new built E ticket ride in the last 5? Will the Epic Universe comparison end? What's next? A new Mickey Mouse meet & greet is compared to Wizarding Paris as a land?
Disney has today announced that Imagineers, along with teams from Chevrolet are reaching back into history for inspiration – from the original World of Motion – and bringing that spirit of optimism to the next iteration of the Test Track attraction at EPCOT.
And just wants to bring that "spirit of optimism" that the original brought to Test Track! It's supposed to be inspired by it...
Considering they can’t even change the custodial costumes without sarcastic comments like “take that, Epic Universe!”, it’ll be a while. They never said this was going to be WOM, it's going to be Test Track.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system. They never said this was going to be WOM, it's going to be Test Track.

It will never end. Universal Orlando and WDW will always be compared. It’s human nature. Will the Epic Universe comparison end? What's next?
I actually don’t think this level of comparison is good for anyone. It’s ridiculous to say that everything is “an answer to Epic” and that desensitizes to true and good faith comparisons. Everyone knows it’s ridiculous to compare a brand new made from scratch E ticket headliner to not even the headliner of a park that is 20 years old. Compare. 2 new E tickets and people will actually take the merit of the convoIt will never end. Universal Orlando and WDW will always be compared. It’s human nature.
And this constant comparison/competition is good for the guest.
Fans of Epic honestly ruined my hype for Epic by doing stupid stuff like this.Considering they can’t even change the custodial costumes without sarcastic comments like “take that, Epic Universe!”, it’ll be a while.
If anyone is comparing the TT refresh to EPIC that is of course wrong.I actually don’t think this level of comparison is good for anyone. Then that’s a completely different story and welcome imo. I do think the competition is a good thing but I don’t think the comparisons to Epic and this, new costumes, and the new play areas is a good thing unless it’s a 1-1If anyone is comparing the TT refresh to EPIC that is of course wrong.
The TT refresh on contract renewal is simply business as usual for Disney.
I was thinking of more general comparisons.
I think a lot of the Epic Universe comparisons to WDW come from an aspect of Universal building an entire theme park (with 3 resorts) in the same amount of time it takes Disney to build a new restroom area (im slightly exaggerating but not by much). Then that’s a completely different story and welcome imo. I’ve seen many people express the faults with epic + their feelings it’s recency bias is going to fade fairly quickly which I don’t entirely disagree with
EU had to go as fast as it could since there's no income coming from it until it opens.... all the while going way over budget.I think a lot of the Epic Universe comparisons to WDW come from an aspect of Universal building an entire theme park (with 3 resorts) in the same amount of time it takes Disney to build a new restroom area (im slightly exaggerating but not by much).
Add in the fact that Epic Universe appears to be fleshed out quite well with attractions, shows and dining and now you've got people that in their heart of hearts want Disney to do better and then the comparisons begin. We all know what Disney is capable of (or what they used to be capable of) and it hurts our Disney ego to see Universal beating them at their own game.
IMO, competition creates innovation and hopefully in the end, we all win!
