Not much to add outside of the title. I saw this posted on Twitter last night and this has literally always been one my Disney Holy Grails ever since I saw the destruction photo. I know a lot of us are big fans so I wanted to give this a platform. I would guess this is a refurb from the 80’s based upon the quality. Possibility the last one it got :(

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this. Is this in the parks?

It was part of the classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride. The first casualty of Disney’s gutting of classic rides in Florida. Disneyland’s Submarine Voyage was just barely saved but a shell of its former self. Disney let it languish under water for 10 years before they demolished it. Truly a fascinating situation.

Now to really blow your mind...

Remember that this scene, and all others on the ride, was duplicated for those sitting on the other side of the submarines!

Man I miss that ride!!! Does anyone remember if it was an “E” ticket ride or something more like a “D” or “C”? Was it located near where SDMT ride is now?

It was always sold as an E-ticket during the days of the park's ticket books

11 different MK attractions were at one point or another sold as "E" tickets.

Most still exist in some form today, excluding 20K and the Mickey Mouse Revue.

An E Ticket - the Lagoon was basically where Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is now (Plus the path towards Be Our Guest), and the indoor showbuilding taking up the space now occupied by the Mermaid building and all its outdoor queue. Even the Drydock stretched across what is now the Mermaid Queue, Belle's Village Restrooms, and into Be Our Guest. It was a massive attraction:

There was also a sea serpent in the Pirates of the Caribbean thing at DisneyQuest, right? And a sea serpent statue/fountain thing that was part of the Discovery Island River Cruise thing?

Since the Disney powers that be are soooo into live action remakes I suggest live action remake of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. With the CGI capabilities available now it could be quite the action-adventure film with a touch of nostalgia.
