The water that comes out of the water fountains is not gross. I grew up in the era when everyone drank out of water fountains instead of toting coolers and bottled water to the parks. I still drink the water out of the fountains and it is not gross.
This is the United States of America and the water that comes out of our faucets is not gross. Go to a undeveloped, third world country and you'll get an education on what is gross!
Too many of you are weak! I also suspect that many of you that bring along your ice, coolers, and disposable plastic bottles also claim you're so-called environmentalist too.
I'm not sure what your point is. Could you clarify?
Are you saying that the water out of the WDW doesn't taste objectionable? Or are you saying that "gross" implies unsafe for drinking? BTW, I did find one report that Florida has the second most violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act of any state. Only Texas was worse. And sadly, Florida did worse than New Jersey. Having lived in all three states, I have to say that, though I am mostly sure my drinking water is safe, it was never good-tasting. We did get
many more boil-water alerts in New Jersey (one or two every year) than in Florida or Texas, but that is probably more to do with aging infrastructure than source water contamination.
Also, what does this have to do with environmentalism? And are you using environmentalist as an insult? Lol
Hope your day gets better, as you seem to be in a worse mood than you usually are. Is everything ok with you?
@The Mom, I grew up in Hawaii and the tap water there spoiled me for life. Hated the taste of tap water in California, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Jersey. The only three places I thought had decent tap water were San Francisco, Boston, and New York City.
Note: It's crazy but you don't even have to travel to a third world country to find tap water that's unsafe to drink. I was astounded that tap water in Beijing and Shanghai was unsafe to drink. I will say that one thing it changes is that I didn't have any iced drinks while I was there.
