Cracks me up that this thread got so much traction over something so silly. Even worse that some people made this out to be a Disney policy change vs Ghirardelli themselves.
Why would anyone think that Disney would have forced another company to stop giving out samples? It wouldn’t be Disney’s decision. It’s not their company, not their store, not their employees, and not their chocolate. Not to mention from the initial report it was clear that this was all Ghirardelli locations.Maybe because it wasn’t clear from the initial report whose decision this was. Heaven forbid questions are asked. And it’s a company chasing pennies. A free sample is not going to break them and taking it away won’t force anyone to buy the chocolate. At least they changed their mind. It’s the principle of it.
Interesting, as wasn't it said they ceased samples at the Disneyland Downtown Disney location. Good to see the samples still flow on the east coast. The free samples are still happening - currently Peppermint Bark.
They were not doing samples at DCA as of two days ago.Interesting, as wasn't it said they ceased samples at the Disneyland Downtown Disney location. Good to see the samples still flow on the east coast.
Nor Disney springs as of yesterday. What they should do is provide samples for a few minutes at random times. Then they'll get people checking all day but give away a lot less product. They were not doing samples at DCA as of two days ago.
I thought you were smarter than this......
The fact people are so dumb as to believe this was a decision by Disney is a bit scary.
That's pretty awesome!I got some 'free' milk chocolates at Pop. Don't know if they do that for everyone or if it was a 'sorry' for the poor customer service.
