The unnamed site has photos of said promenade sign on Twitter. Don't think I'm allowed to attach the tweet and I can't upload photos today for some reason, so if you wanna see it, go dig for it lol

So is this the secret entrance to the new Mexico Barge Ride? LOL

I don’t see this show lasting at all. Just look at Paint the Night and Disneyland Forever and what happened after that. There’s a reason these Tacos float. They couldn’t take care of one dancing fountain the size of one of these barges among other things. I can see it ending after the 50th. This show is going to be like having a horse in a 2 room apartment on the 12th floor.

I'm far from a sightline purist (skyliner didn't bother me, back of Pandora didn't bother me, guardians box was noticeable but forgettable), and I'm at least willing to see the daytime fountain but as of this moment? uh. yikes.

Honestly, while not attempting to be dramatic, this is certainly one of the most drastic visual changes made to EPCOT in its history.

This, coupled with the full destruction of the central spine, marks a very sad day for Disney Parks.

These barges are horrific. And there's only one brought in so far ...

The idea these units sit in the middle of the lagoon for a 10-12 hour operating day, only being used as intended for a 20 minute show upon park closing, simply boggles the mind.

The Disney of yesteryear would have moved heaven and earth (literally) to incorporate the elements required for the show, while not ruining the beautiful sight-lines of the lagoon. Heck, why would they not have used World of Color type technology that could have dropped down into the water and disappeared during the day? With no daytime visual intrusion?

The irony being, this set-up looks quick, cheap, and lazy - yet cost an absolute fortune. Because of what it cost, it is likely to be there for quite some time now.

As someone who adores fountains and most water features, no amount of spray nozzles or gigantic water geysers are enough to mask the big, black, bloated pieces of metal in the middle of Disney's crowning achievement of a lagoon.

This is the same company that designed the Tower of Terror facade the way they did, because it was partially visible with the Morocco pavilion - from across this very same lagoon.

Hope springs eternal, but gosh this is awful.

I know it's just 1 But is Epcot able to turn on the fountains now ? that would make it look better. Or do we have to wait for all the barges?

I do wonder if this was the original plan to permanently install the barges. It definitely seems like a after thought or a issue they ran into.

As bad as it is right now (and it is absolutely horrendous), just remember there are THREE more of these oil rig monstrosities to be installed. And the center water screen rig, which is even bigger.

There is zero justification for what they've done. I don't care how technically impressive the show may be. Heck, they could literally re-purpose every piece of this intrusive equipment to run Reflections of Earth. Still wouldn't be worth it.

What a shame. An absolute embarrassment for a company that, supposedly, cares so much about theme and place setting.
