I’m sure they thought aheadSo... uhh... how can we be sure this isn't a major fire hazard?
Someone had to ask.
They literally have a dragon that shoots fire above and at guests every 15 minutes or so.Obviously it's not their first use of fire, but it's the first time they've had a large, flaming object hanging above a building like this.
We always used to say that the Universal playbook for a ride was get in a Spider-Man-type vehicle, look at a screen at some point, and then there's fire somewhere. Fire is all over Universal. It's a pyromaniac's dream resort! They literally have a dragon that shoots fire above and at guests every 15 minutes or so.
There's fire blasts pretty near guests in FoF parade. And the giant torches around World Lagoon.
Not to mention fireworks...
Its not a Universal ride unless it spits fire, water or fog (or all 3 at once) at youWe always used to say that the Universal playbook for a ride was get in a Spider-Man-type vehicle, look at a screen at some point, and then there's fire somewhere. It’s not really any different. You use non-combustible materials in the correct assemblies. You provide sensors, alarms, and extinguishing systems. It’s not in an enclosed space which makes some things easier. Revenge of the Mummy is pumping gas into a room and then igniting it. If too much gas built up that’d be a big problem.
Between SLOP (water), Mine Cart Madness (water), and Mario Kart (fog), oh my god this is actually still true. Its not a Universal ride unless it spits fire, water or fog (or all 3 at once) at you![]()
IMO the best "wow factor" of this happening is still Hobgoblin's pumpkin. Its not a Universal ride unless it spits fire, water or fog (or all 3 at once) at you![]()
I miss the Jaws fire. So many people complaining that it burned them when in reality they had already gotten a sunburn from being out in Florida and their skin was overly sensitive due to itWe always used to say that the Universal playbook for a ride was get in a Spider-Man-type vehicle, look at a screen at some point, and then there's fire somewhere. This is potentially the Super Bowl commercial for Universal, featuring Epic Universe. I expect their media push for the park to pick up this month.
Yep! Lots of water throughout the entire park. You can see the path of the fountains in this photo from Bioreconstruct.Super Bowl or not, this is Great!!!!
One question, how much Fountains is EU getting??? This Commercial shows Fountains all through Ces. Park?
I knew about the Helios Pond but not the other Fountains. Thanks!Yep! Lots of water throughout the entire park. You can see the path of the fountains in this photo from Bioreconstruct.View attachment 842097
There’s a pluses up shop at Universal Studios Florida. The land is years away from permitting if they commit to it.Also, what is this rumor I am hearing of permits being filed to build a ‘Wicked’ / Oz themed land expansion?
I have heard nothing about this until now, and i have doubts this is happening….but wanted to mention it to see if anyone here has heard any rumblings.

Universal’s marketing imo has always been a major misstep of theirs. They’re good at appealing to their most loyal fans but bad at advertising to just about everyone else.I'm surprised it doesn't mention that Epic Universe is a brand new park opening this year. It just says "4 parks" and for those that haven't been or doesn't know, it may not resonate that they are opening a brand new park.
(What surprised me more is that they didn't take out an ad during the Macy's Thanksgiving parade...and it was just a passing mention by Al Roker). Black Friday is a big shopping day (with Cyber Monday following) and it would've been a great time to show it off to those ready to spend some money on the holiday gifts. "Let's take the kids to Universal next year as their Christmas gift!"
