Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I’ll defend HK’s plussed FEA because nothing is left in the ride that screams “maelstrom retrofit” like Epcot’s weirdly small and boxed in scenes but I can see how it falls short for being the only ride within a 1 walk of the back of the park in WDS

There is nothing wrong with the modernised FEA, it just isn’t a park carrier like WDS wants it to be

I know most people won't care, but why not highlight how you've made a better version of the attraction?
It’d only possibly mean anything to people on these forums. In the same way they’ve never publicly said “Tokyo’s is better than Orlando”. Joe bloggs wouldn’t know any different.

I like Orlando's better than most on the forum seem to, but you are right that Tokyo's is in a different league. I'm curious why DLP didn't clone that one. (Cost and/or footprint, I'd assume.)

The expansion makes the park feel like a park now, but Frozen needed to be an E-ticket.

Good Friday isn’t a public holiday in France, so a normal working day.

Also for many with a strong Christian faith it’s more of a quiet, reflective day.

Just for how new it is, I expected bedlam. But was eerily quiet at times.

I wonder how much is crowd flow design? The original part of the park seemed relatively busy. Around the lake though was dead, Frozen area not particularly busy. Waited 15 mins for Frozen Ever After. No one ordering at the quick service and a small scattering of occupied tables.

Not complaining however! I had a wonderful day.

I've been warning people on these boards for months.

It will be a success long-term and will definitely pull huge crowds on busy days, but Frozen: Ever After is not the "Radiator Springs Racers" Disney Adventure World needed, neither in scale or execution.

The transformation isn't truly done until Lion King, at it was always supposed to involve that plot, but similar to Galaxy's Edge only opening with Smuggler's Run, the entire expansion is handicapped until its second major ride opens.

Just mind-baffling stupidity.

Plopping Frozen Journey should've been the minimum, and I feel like it's very corporate of Disney to just think "people will come anyway."

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train wouldn't be enough of an anchor, but this gives Under The Sea hubris vibes.

I don’t think theatre in the stars will be around for much longer

It can’t hold a show, it is pretty ugly, and it’s in prime real estate for a land or sub land that bridges the old and new parts of the park

Given the layout of the park, what you describe honestly makes sense.

The park is very attraction dense in the front part, then there is a long walk back to one attraction and large areas around the lake where they is very little reason for anyone to be. It makes sense that even with the newness of Frozen, most people's day at the park will still be spent mostly in that first part with perhaps one trip out and back to do Frozen Ever After. Guests who aren't interested in Toy Storyland will still probably at least wander through there at some point during they day, but that wouldn't happen with World of Frozen or the lake.
