“They” would be DS+R… Even in concept design Disney requires at least a narrative report from a structural engineer. Concrete can be used to achieve slender structures. Post-tensioning in particular allows for thinner slabs.I am referring to the proposed "Festival Center" my sources tell me that the way they designed it was structurally impossible to build.
If it’s Andrew Wilson we might as well all turn in whatever’s left of our Disney Fan Cards. It will be an end no one here that doesn’t follow news about Electronic Arts can imagine.I agree. The next CEO should be an outsider or we will just see more of the same.
That’s what she said?Need bigger screws.
It was a programmatic, operational and experimental nightmare. But Iger wanted something to make the park look different designed by a starchitect like Mike had done. The festival center in the concept art looked pretty but in actuality it would have obstructed views except those with corporate expense accounts and would have created traffic in that area.
I think the photos in that montage are at least 30 years old now. Correct me if I am wrong.
I wish we knew who these people were and what has happened to them. Are they all actors? Truly random people (doubt it)? What became of the young child? How old did the old woman live to be?31.5![]()
If anyone is around in Epcot, La Calle, Southbound, the M 80's and Audio Exchange have all been added into the Eat to the Beat Festival dates for entertainment. Check out WDWMagic's link for the dates for each band: https://www.wdwmagic.com/events/int...up-eat-to-the-beat-adds-more-weekday-acts.htmOh I had forgotten about that.. oh and cool if I don't get a chance that there's always Disney Spring's.thank's for the recommendation Marie.
Much of the new concrete and flooring all around was very poorly done.I wish I had snapped some pics and didn't, but the black rubber lining between the tiles/concrete along connections and creations etc is all coming undone, I literally could have pulled it all up and out. What a shotty job all around.
Flooring? That was THEZach’s thing!!! I heard there may have been some Instagram posts about it a while back or something…Much of the new concrete and flooring all around was very poorly done.
At least the greenery in the planter looks nice.View attachment 869713
This is giving abandoned mall vibes… i guess it goes with all the closed festival booths? Is that a story!? Haha.
*I actually had a wonderful day at Epcot - I’m just poking fun and missing the wonderful fountain of nations
eh…. That was kind of my point. They didn’t even try with nice landscaping. It is literally the bare minimum. Downtown Disney in California has more impressive planters. At least the greenery in the planter looks nice.
"Abandoned Mall" is exactly what I thought when I saw this image before I got to what you wrote.View attachment 869713

Hey, now. Gobo people really love their gobos. (Some will tell you all about them… Even if you don’t ask, and with props and visual aids that you also did not ask to see or hear about. I speak from experience.)
I may be one of those people…. I definitely have a favorite breakup gobo! HahaHey, now. Gobo people really love their gobos.
