EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

If they can’t get the show controls for lights to work why believe they could get show controls for lights and water to work?
Well you have a point there... I was thinking at least we would get a lovely water feature....and honestly, a water feature that doesn't necessarily tie into the light show on Spaceship Earth is still better than a planter with floor lights that does tie into the light show on Spaceship Earth...

The fountain at the front of the back always looks nice with its colors. A water feature with a series of small waterfalls landing in a small pool would work really well with some basic lighting. Color changing lights are not difficult to install, especially if they aren't tied to the light changes on Spaceship Earth. I have a feeling that installation of a water featuer is only a pipe dream.

At this point, do we know if there are more things to try before they end up turning them off and starting over, or are they at the point where it's turn the lights off and leave them off?
Or just have them show one color or have the colors change together. I realize that it isn't the same thing exactly but companies sell Christmas trees that change color with greater quality and reliability than this.

I honestly think at this point they likely need to wall the area off and fully rip out the pavement to rebuild this. If they even want to. They may just remove the lighting fully and create a pattern in the pavement..

But I assume they are putting off any major work as long as they can.

If they have to do that, then they might as well put in a fountain.

They've done that already (at least that's what I saw two different times in 2024), and things have progressed backwards since whatever they did in December (see above - dead spots, varied colors in the same strip, etc.)

the lighting was supposed to be the big dynamic kinetic component of the area.... So not only when it was working it was underwhelming, but broken or not working is even worse... They really need to rethink that area... I would even be happy if they built a replica of the Tower of the Four Winds from the World's Fair... it was dynamic, monumental and included a covered upper level terrace....
