Just keep calling or going online. Even go to the desk the day of. Stuff happens. Somebody may have had to cancel.
I have this situation where I can get a lunch reservation but never dinner. This has been over a decade now. Not matter how early I try right before a trip. The only time I got into dinner was years ago when my family called. And lucky me had a terrible head cold so the taste buds were not fully functioning, but it still tasted as good as could be expected. I was miffed at the unfairness of it all. LOL!
Keep at it. I have to go there for Lunch every trip. I pretty much dream of the soup and the cheeseburger days before I get there
A new food shop opened near me and I am going to ask for diamond cheddar at the cheese counter and get pancetta at the deli section and hope for the best for a sort of stellar recreation until I can get back there. LOL!

My favorite is the Filet Mingnon. It is not a large portion, but it melts in your mouth!
