Or a non existent F.I know right? Light-up hats, gloves, and wands based on an already existing and implemented technology that bring in dollars??? I mean, the cost of making these things would add up to at least a new D ticket, if not an E.

The hats are also hackable. This guy got his tv remote to operate them. pretty cool. Its appx 6 minutes long, but cool.
They are only good in aggregate. Meaning, if you are at an event where lots of people are wearing them, they are great, and while you cannot see your ears, you see others, and they see yours, it all can add to the show experience.
If you are one of about 10 people in the crowd wearing them, it's not really any good at all.
Uh...this will make money, not spend it.Oh yay! I was so afraid WDW would spend money on an attraction. Thank goodness they thought of this instead.
Well, that's not quite true. If you happen to be in the wrong place, it can be distracting, just like I always wind up strategically located so that the fool with the big freakin' balloon 20 feet in front of me somehow still holds that string at exactly the right height to block my view of something.I'm all for it. It's sort of like doing 'the wave' while waiting for Fantasmic to start. You can join in, or watch it go by. Either way, it's fun to some people, an annoyance to others. There isn't any way that light up ears are going to distract you from the scope and brightness of a Disney fireworks display!
No. You're not.I the only one who sees these things as a distraction

My only skill with my TV remote is throwing it across the room when the Falcons are blowing it. Needless to say, my remote is in bad shape.Hats? Pft. A skilled H4ck0r such as myself uses a TV remote to operate Illuminations.

Price point is an issue.
I think they were $25-$30 last time I looked (at both DLR and WDW).

It'll fizzle out like Pal Mickey or the 100 Year pin badges. If you're going to buy a light up toy, you are. If you aren't, you aren't.
