How on earth can you tell anyone no pictures. What are you going to do to me if I take a picture if you could enforce that rule.

Who is making the rule of no pictures anyway? That is absolutely asinine.

You can't "enforce" it really, but they're told to say it. So they do, knowing it's a lost battle (and also if they DON'T say it and the video goes public, then they could get in trouble for "allowing" them to get footage.) Decent human beings will respect and follow the rules. Entitled will say, "Screw you, I'm selling this to the news so I can pay for this vacation."

No...you cannot ask people to not take pictures in one of the most photographed places on earth. The area is not some backstage property where the rules are different that "on stage".

Like I said, and someone else said, you can ask…

Backstage is one thing, on stage it is entirely different.

So here's a really fun question… This is now the second or third time we've set new fantasyland's grass is on fire following the fireworks and Highwinds.

So I ask… Who doesn't have their crap together? Because clearly… Some department that is responsible for keeping stuff from catching on fire in the first place, somebody is not doing the job right. And this is the third time. In recent memory.

Exactly what does it take to get a manager at the Magic Kingdom to be accountable? Because clearly somebody you shouldn't have a job anymore… Because this is not rocket science. This is simply setting up sprinklers and making sure all of the grass and everything else is thoroughly soaked so nothing catches fire during the fireworks.

Im hearing from buffs down there that it was a misfire, not embers from the show. Definitely not something that was planned for.

My guess is that the person whose job it is to keep fires from starting was cut by TDO in order to save money.

And/or: who is overriding whatever safety rules should be in place about what level of wind conditions should lead to a cancellation of fireworks?
