Wow they are great! I am a tough audience to please too, but these figures look like they have put a lot of time and effort into making an amazing attraction. Can't wait to see it all together!!

They actually look pretty good. Hard to tell from youtube but a bit lacking in sharpness or resolution on the projection but the fluidity makes up for it.

Definitely a major development on the techniques used on Buzz and Potato Head (or Leota, for that matter).

I kind of like that Imagineering is looking at the wide array of new technologies available for the evolution of animatronics instead of only using the classic electro-mechanical models we've all known for years. This approach seems (at least from this video) to allow a much broader array of expression and allows them to look just like they did in the original movie.

Maybe because they aren't cars . I like the fact that they still look cartoonish yet believeable in real life at the same time.

What's interesting to me is, I saw at least two animal animatronics in the video that also looked impressive. I wonder just how many total animatronics with this level of detail there will be? I'm impressed that they spent the time and money on the smaller characters as well. There are already 7 dwarfs, I would have thought they would have stopped there, but it looks like this will be a truly an immersive experience, like being in an animated movie. A really short immersive experience, yes. But they are still cramming a lot of detail into a really short ride.
I still say E ticket!

The greenery and show effects look to be top shelf. The ride really is detailed and elaborate

You say that in jest, but, that kind of behavior is why there's no more 'Grad Nights' in the Magic Kingdom. I'm sure there are multiple safeguards that will keep the dwarves safe from their new visitors.

Is it possible that those other designs weren't legit, and were "leaked" in order to reign in expectations so that people would be pleasantly surprised when the real plans turned out to be better?
