75 Inspearations Statue Auction

I know I saw at least 2-3 other Mickeys at MK in Jan '04 that are not documented, besides Janet Jackson's. This is the one I want (I don't remember who designed it, and I think the name of it was either "ChocolatEAR" or "Chocolate Mouse")

No that one was there at the same time. I think either Circle Vision or the Chocolate one relaced hers.

Rosie O'Donnell had the ugliest one there. I bet she was trying to promote her musical (with Boy George) that tanked on Broadway. Didn't he have that whole paint thing on the head.

ok i loved about 35 of them, but whats with slpahing paint on a mickey statue and calling it art? there were like three if i remember correctly.

No that one was there at the same time. I think either Circle Vision or the Chocolate one relaced hers.

Actually Circle Vision and the chocolate one were there at the same time as Janet's also. I think the one that replaced hers is Liquid Mickey - even the photo for it is taken differently than the rest.

But anyway, I got my 75 InspEARations catalog from Sotheby's today :sohappy:
It's a beautiful book. 188 pages, with Lenox's Tuxedo Mickey (in mirror image) on the cover. Also came with a matching trading pin (Tuxedo Mickey standing on a gold 75 InspEARations logo). Each statue gets two pages - one page showing front and back views, the second page showing a closer view of the upper half of statue, as well as the artist's bio and the charity each one benefits (same info that is on the official 75I's website)

A LOT more than I could afford, though should be able to watch the bidding on ebayliveauctions.com (on Sep 27). At least the $41 catalog is a nice collectible.
