We've been fooled!

I just got back from the park merf and I must say, they really progressed fast with the construction today! However, the news isn't good. It appears that Siemens is using their funding of SSE to promote their CX-70 cell phone :( I suppose it fits in with the communication theme...but it does come off a little heavy handed. Here's a photo I took.

I for one am shocked that they would make a statement this bold. I heard some kids asking their dads why Mickey needed a cell phone. One dad said that it was so he could call Minnie, which I personally thought was a great answer. However, another parent told their child it was just in case Mickey had an emergency like a car accident. The child appeared a bit distraught at the notion of this and ran out of the park crying.

That brings up a shocking idea. What if they aren't getting rid of the wand? What if they are replacing it with a bigger wand or a hat?

Just kidding.

I just had a shocking revelation...

Thanks to my posts here, "they" know i'm going to be out of town next week. :( How much you wanna bet they do something crazy while i'm gone?
yes next week when you come back instead of the tombstones in front of epcot it will be dinoland 2 with a dinosaur hand on the wand.

Let me start by saying, in-room high-speed is SLOW!!
Tonight's our last night (of 7) at the BWV, always hard to go to sleep that last night knowing you're leaving the next day...

Anyway... construction on the wand was very slow this week. Our room looked out at SSE and it appears they only worked on it 2 of the days we were here. Sun night they did. Monday night it appeared they didn't. Tue night they did, Wed night they did not (extra magic hours for the park). I thought they would have Thur night, but didn't.

The monorail guy at Epcot (I know GREAT source of Info.) said the actual want portion of construction could last into September. I'm starting to believe them if they can only get in 2-3 days of construction a week. As soon as that hand/want stub go I think SSE is going to be huge looking.

I'll try to do a trip report later next week. Interesting trip this time around...
Epcot needs some help (though I think its getting it slowly).

Merf, did you book Disneyland Paris? Where will you be staying, and how will you get there? I remember reading your thread about trying to book the trip. Will we get updates from DLP while you are there?

If you're serious, you're not alone. If you're joking, then I'm seemingly alone.

Now brace yourselves, everyone..................I like Leave a Legacy and it's design. :)

As sacreligious as it is around here, I like LaL too and wish I bought a tile when I had a chance. Historically, I've been in line w/ the majority on opinions, Disneywise and political, and share the same likes and dislikes as a group usually. I guess this is a rare time I'm in the minority, and find something very appealing about the LaL stones.

Are they fricken kidding!??!

The eBay auction took my photo and cropped the people out of it - but here's a clue, the clouds don't stay perfectly the same in the sky from two different people's photos!!

You know, I hate to say it, but LaL doesn't look half as bad now with the wand gone. I'd still prefer the area without it, but it does look a lot better.
