Do you think 500 or 1000 years from now more advanced humans will place an underwater marker where Disneyworld once stood for curious historians to visit? Do you think there will be some remnents of structure or just a marker? Or maybe it will linger on all run down like coney island for a while and then be demolished to make way for new development that we cannot even imagine and that has no resembelence to a theme park. Have a nice day.

Maybe they'll move the whole thing to an artificial moon in orbit.
Read Cory Doctorow's "Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom" for his vision of the future of WDW. Its available for free download as an e-book on his publisher's site here:

Cory is a big creative commons/open media advocate, as you'll see in the story.

maybe we could visit YesterdayLand.

And why is it going to be underwater?

Cause global warming will swamp all of Florida...and the big one will have happened, so DL will have been dumped into the Pacific. Tokyo/Disney Seas will have lived up to it's name....

DL Paris is all we'll have.

No worries... in another 500 years all current incurable disease will have been eradicated. Walt will be defrosted, cured and regain the Disney Throne after a short war with the sub-human mutant army of King Michael Eisner the XXIII.

All will be well.

Disney World will be in a Glass Bubble.

Everyone will arrive in the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Nautilus Ships.

The Living Seas Will be the Largest attraction! Just look out the bubble!

WDW will still exist, but the surrounding orange groves will be decimated due to frigid temperatures.*

*According to the multitude of alarmist Science teachers I had in the 70's who warned of the coming ice age.
