Not me. I have an obsession with leaving the house immaculate so I'm frantically cleaning out cupboards, scrubbing tiles, throwing out old clothes, washing curtains......you get the drift?
And then there's the last minute shopping trips when we go and buy all kinds of frivolous fripperies, and packing, and re-packing, oh I have a manic last few days!

Now I have 8 days as of today and its pretty much killing me. I swear time was flying and has all of a sudden come to a complete stop. With all the things I have to do, including going to work, one would think it would be the exact opposite. I am hoping that as the days get a little closer it will move a little faster but right now, I really don't see that happening. Hang in there though five days is a lot sooner than you think.

I agree the single digit days are the hardest!!! I like the idea of cleaning everything possible before hand. I still have 47 days ago and am just starting to slowly cross things off the list. I just hope when we arrive that time stops!!:) Hope you have an amazing adventure!

Has the world slowed down, are my clocks and watches on a go slow.Up until now the days have shot by,with all the usual planning details,ADRS,how much money to take, check ins, etc. Now with 5 days until we take off, it's dragging in.Does anyone else find that with only days to go,it's like slow motion?:(

I know what you mean! When it gets so close it becomes an absolute killer waiting! I try to soak in every minute of it when it get to a week out. Because my excitement is at its peak and I am ready to explode. I know that once the trip starts it is going to just speed by, so I try to savor my excitement right before I go. I spend a lot of those days watching Disney & Pixar movies and that always pumps me up quite a bit. Or even the '05/'06 WDW planning dvd. That's a popular one in my house.

We need time for things to happen.

I got this same type of thing going on. I think it's a built in Disney survival instinct..that's how you cope with that time slowing down thing that happens as you get closer to your vacation. You fill every minute up so you don't have time to think about how close but oh so far away that WDW vacation is. Otherwise my brain would melt.

I have to make sure that my car is clean, but lawn is mowed (at the last possible minute) so it's not super long when I get back. I also don't mind working right up until the last day too. I make sure everything at work is tight and there will be no reason for me to get work calls while I'm away.

It's a very weird time warp. Time does go incredibly slow until you have a plane to catch. Then, you hop off the plane, and wouldn't you know it, someone has messed with the clocks, again! Time flies at super hyper drive warp speed (a very scientific term to describe Disney time). My DH actually starts to get upset 3 days before we leave home. He knows, by then, our trip is almost over, and we are on our way home. We just haven't caught up with ourselves, yet.
