4 days/4 parks

Pardon me if this has been done. I looked through searches, but I am a new member.

My husband and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary at WDW.

Our current plan is to fly in on Sunday and have dinner at Raglan Rd and do MK on Mon, Epcot on Tues (anniv.day), DHS on Weds and AK on Thurs. Flying home on a Friday.

I've made FP+ reservations for all the parks and ADR for some places I'm excited about. Just wondering now if 4 parks/4 days is insane. Have not made an ADR for AK, but we love animals and thought a more chill park might be nice towards the end of the trip. We did not book park hoppers, but may add on for one day if needed. We are staying at All Star Movies (we have both been to All Stars before as teens and thought they were fine).

Think we should book a park hopper? Or is 4 days/4parks just fine? I grew up by Disneyland, so I'm ok with not doing every ride/show at Magic Kingdom (I'm also not insane enough to try!)

Also, does Disney have any fun stuff for couples celebrating anniversaries?

Thanks so much. I'm really excited.

4 day/ 4 park is no problem. You will have a wonderful time and not be able to take everything in at any of them.
Parkhopping, if using the buses at least will eat another hour out of what could be very full days.

You're not going to do everything at MK or EPCOT with only a days visit to each - but if you're at each park at rope drop and you're there until kicking out time, then you will enjoy a lot of each park.
Park Hopper - I wouldn't really bother. If you finish at a park early then there's always Disney Springs (again)

Thanks. I figured we would be fine. i tend to get overexcited about trips and have been visiting too many blogs with tour plans that suggest park hopping.

If I had all the money in the world I might consider it, but then I'm sure my trip would be longer.

The hubs and I are really psyched. Doing the special day dinner in Mexico at San Angel Inn, his fave.

Agreed - hopper may not be worth the travel time. Def rope drop MK day- rides will have good wait times till 11. Eat lunch early to avoid the crowd/wait. Use FP+ after lunch for your must do's. Have a great trip!

Happy Anniversary!

Our first trip in 2012 was 4 parks/4 days and we felt so rushed. But that was because it was our first ever trip so everything was new. Unless you've been there before, I don't think park hoppers would be used that much. I know there is no way we could've used park hoppers our first trip. However, we used them them a lot during our second trip. It really depends on the time of year you go. If the parks stay open late, then you might be able to use them to take advantage of evening magic hours.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at WDW last year and the best experience we had was dinner at Sanaa, where our server gave us a free dessert and 2 glasses of champagne. The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and it was a really quick ride from Animal Kingdom theme park.

Enjoy your trip and happy anniversary!!

My last trip a few months ago was 4 days/4 parks.

You can't do everything at MK and EPCOT like others have said, but it's very doable. Having done it, I think I'd prefer spacing things out a bit more to 4 parks/7 days or something, but it's still very enjoyable.

Make sure you get your free Happy Anniversary button from City Hall so all the CM's and servers know. Have fun!

Yes
Just a note for DHS and AK, you might get a little bored if you stay at those parks the whole day (especially DHS) as there are significantly fewer attractions there than at MK and Epcot

4 Parks in 4 Days can be a great way to visit. FYI...your current plan is basically following where the masses like to go. More people seem to start their vacation on a Monday and at MK.

4 parks in 4 days is definitely doable, but, as mentioned above, you won't be able to hit everything in the MK and EP might feel a bit rushed.

However, HS truly is about a half day park (we just left WDW today and did everything in HS more than once in six hours without rushing), so this would be also be a good day to enjoy your resort a bit if you're not going to purchase park hoppers.

I usually do 4 parks in 3 days but I have been to WDW many times so some show I have seen and won't be watching them again.

MK is the biggest park by far. You can go crazy and be there for 12 hours or so if you want. I wouldn't do that but you can.

DHS has not much to do in it but if you haven't seen the night time show it's a must do.

AK can be a whole day if you do every single thing they have to offer. I usually just hit that in the morning and head somewhere else after lunch.

Epcot? I have no idea how people are sending a full day there? Unless you want to drink around the world there is not that much to do there.
I find that fascinating. I have no idea how you could spend less than a full day at Epcot. There is more to see and do at Epcot than can be done in any one day. Rides, shows, dining, shopping and entertainment make for quite a full day. We enjoy just being there. And in 30 plus years of going to Epcot, my wife and I have never had a single glass of anything containing alcohol...never have and never will drink around the world. Of course, everyone is different. If you think there is not that much to do there, that is your choice and it is your time. There is a big difference in just doing a few things and actually experiencing Epcot. We can spend an entire day at Epcot just strolling around taking in the scenery and enjoying the entertainment.

Indeed. For all the talk about Epcot losing it's focus on education, so many of the posters here seem to forget or ignore the many galleries and other exhibitions there designed to EDUCATE them.

Name them.

The galleries in the World Showcase, including but not limited to Mexico, Norway, Japan, and the United States. You've got the labs and kiosks in Mission Space and Test Track. And numerous other diversions.

BTW shopping? Shopping for what?

Again, World Showcase has many unique shops. Often not stuff you'd buy as a vacation souvenir, but fascinating to browse. Casablanca Carpets in Morocco, Glaskunst in Germany, Il Bel Cristallo in Italy, Mitsukoshi in Japan, and more.

EDIT: And you're wrong about the bands. The Plain White Ts performing at Eat to the Beat this year proves they've now gotten around to getting washed up 00's acts. ;)

I always say that park hoppers depend on where you're staying. Given a 4 day trip and staying at All Stars, you'd most likely not make efficient use of it so it might be wasted money. If we're staying at say the Epcot resort area, a park hopper is good because you will find yourself ducking into Epcot via the International Gateway for food and drinks! Staying in the MK resort area with a park hopper we often find ourselves just popping into the MK for a quick ride, to shop, etc. That being said, the only real times I've used park hoppers recently is when they came free via a Disney discount offer.

If I were making a four day trip, I would definitely book a park hopper but that's just my personal preference and how I like to tour the parks. My boyfriend and I recently went for four days with a park hopper pass and we felt like it was definitely worth it to have the flexibility to move on to another park if we wanted to. For us, AK and DHS (in it's current state) are hard to stretch out and fill a whole day on their own, so we like to have the park hopper to allow us he option of leaving one park in the afternoon and heading to another (MK or EPCOT) for the evening entertainment and park ambiance. This also helps us ensure that we will be able to go back to anything we might have missed earlier in the trip.

Everyone tours the parks differently though, all that matters is that you create a plan that will work for your party and if you're happy with it, go with it and enjoy the inevitable magic of Disney World!

Have a great trip. The only reason I could see for a parkhopper would be if the MK has late hours (Midnight) that would allow you extra time in that park each night.

We're also doing 4 parks in 3.5 days for the first time this coming January. We've always had park hoppers and a rental car in the past, but we're foregoing both this trip to save some $$. We plan to hit each park before opening on the day that it has Early EMH to maximize our time there. I think we (and you) will be just fine.
