Ok so I am going to WDW on my 2nd solo trip November 7 - 11. I will have almost 4 full days in the parks. Now my 2 favorite are MK and Epcot. So I was just wondering if anyone had ideas or tips for me on such a short few days. I have never stayed in this short of time and really want to do stuff but without not enjoying it. Going solo also makes it a little easier.

so far i have
Monday - I get in and check and stuff most likely by noon then head to MK (i always have to go to MK first)
Tuesday - Spending the day at epcot.
Wednesday - spend the day at disney studios then head over to MK for EMH that night.
Thursday - maybe AK during the first half then MK at night (always have to go to MK the night before i leave too).

There isnt much as a solo traveler to do at AK that would really take up more than a half of a day. Also at the studios as well. so if anyone has any tips or anything it would be appreciated :)

Hi,

We just went in August for a 4 night stay which was the shortest we have ever done. We usually do 8 or 9 days when we can. Since we were going for such a short trip and like you MK and EPCOT are our favorites we only did those two parks. We like stuff at both AK and MGM but not enough stuff to waste the travel time to go there and then to another park. We could have done it but for the few things that are must do at those parks for us we felt it was more important to spend more time at MK and EPCOT.

I would definitly get to the parks early where ever you go. I am not a morning person but found we did so much in the mornings as the parks were empty it was worth it to me to get up early.

Make odd times for your meals as you can also take advantage of when others are eating you can ride the good stuff with less lines.

Also some attractions have solo rider lines, take advantage of those.

Have fun!

That sounds like a good way to start. Being solo it's very easy to park hop if you get bored or tired of one place. Besides, the bus or monorail ride is a good way to sit down for 30 minutes or so and take a little breather.

Don't over plan, you won't enjoy it as much.

And be careful this time. Don't twist your ankle again!

OUCH! even worse! Don't do that again!

I just realized i'm departing from WDW the day you get down there. Ah well.

If you really try, you can hit all 3 mountains at MK in an hour, and even fastpass one for a second trip later. But you have to get there at least 15 minutes before rope drop.

One of the big advantages of going solo is that you can be so FLEXIBLE. If you happen on an attraction with no line you can do it until you get tired of it. Or, since you've been to Disney before (many times?), you can use this opportunity to spend some real time in places where you normally rush through. I'd love to spend a morning watching the vets work in the hospital at Conservation Station without anyone else to get tired and bored. Or, if I were going alone, I'd probably just spend all afternoon repeating the Who Want's to Be a Millionaire show. I just love that show!

Hi - Let me know how it goes. Sounds like you have a great plan. I'm planning to go down at the end of April for my first solo trip. I am thinking about taking a few of the tours that no one else has ever wanted to do. I must admit I'm a little nervous about going solo. How do you handle the dinner meal? Have a great time!

I think a lot of travel planning at Disney depends on where you are going to eat. For our 4 days last August we did:

Wednesday night check in.
Thursday: Epcot All day and Night (Extended Magic Hours)
Friday: MK All day, late Dinner at World Showcase
Saturday: Studios daytime, MK Night
Sunday: AK daytime, MK afternoon.
We were supposed to leave on Sunday night, but extended our vacation due to hurricane troubles.

However, if you've got the cash, I suggest eating dinner in the World Showcase everyday. Good variety and very relaxing to drink wine and watch fireworks. The Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time and Momma Melrose's all have good food (huge portions) with good atmosphere (especially sci-fi and 50's). I've never eaten a sit-down dinner at Disney...too much to do, too little time.

Hope this helps.

Oh yes, eating. That's another nice thing about being solo. You don't have to give the appearance of eating anything healthy or logical. Premium bar for breakfast? Fine! Lunch of Dole Whip? A-O-K! Followed by turkey leg? Sure! Dinner at 12:15 am, out of a bag, before you fall into bed? Sign me up!
