Hi all,
I'm new here & put up some info on the Introductions forum about myself. I've been cruising the forums for a long time & finally decided to join the fun. Was going to wait til we came back to do a report, but saw plenty of pre-trip reports so I figured why not. It'll be one more way of venting my excitement & sparing my wife, who's already sick of my counting down. (57 days today!)
So here's our Sept 2nd-9th trip thus far:
My wife & I are going for our 3rd wedding anniversary and bringing my parents who have never been. Staying at the Coronado Springs resort with Deluxe Dining. I was up at 6am on the 180 day mark so I could make ADR's. Here's a mini breakdown (and yes, I'm an OCD Plan-A-Holic
):
Day 1: Arrive mid day, check in at Coronado Springs, Magic Kingdom asap (gotta get a Haunted Mansion ride in before dinner) then over to the Polynesian for the Spirit of Aloha Dinner.
Day 2: Up early to head to Ohana at the Polynesian for the Lilo & Stitch breakfast. Magic Kingdom day with at least 2 more Haunted Mansion runs. Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, finishing off with Wishes.
Day 3: Maybe sleep in before heading over to Epcot. Future World in the morning and lunch at the Coral Reef. Wander back to World Showcase & take our time there. Dinner reservation at Teppan Edo and will be done just in time for Illuminations.
Day 4: Another lazy morning maybe before heading to Hollywood Studios. Breakfast at Starring Rolls is one of my unplanned favorties. Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster before the big meals. Lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe and dinner at Mama Melrose's before Fantasmic.
Day 5: Up early for park opening at Animal Kingdom. Gotta ride that safari early. Late lunch/early dinner at Jiko: The Cooking Place. Then we have the rest of the evening to go back to a park for rides, or maybe the Dig Site pool at the Coronado Springs.
Day 6: We left this day open for going back to family favorites (Haunted Mansion runs please) and will head to Downtown Disney for mid day shopping. Wrapping this day up with Cirque's La Nouba show then dinner at Cap'n Jacks.
Day 7: My wife & mom ganged up on me & convinced me to leave this day open for them to drag Dad & I (willingly) to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter if they feel up to it. If not, it's a free day to do whatever. This is the actual date of me and my wife's 3rd wedding anniversary, which we have a great dinner planned at Narcoossee's. We did this on our honeymoon too & it was a great way to end out trip!
Day 8: We fly out late in the day, so I can probably squeeze in one or two last Haunted Mansion runs before packing up & catching the Magical Express to the airport.
So that's it, in a nutshell. Well thought out & organized, but not planned down to the minute. Plenty of free time and down time, as well as great dining reservations. On our honeymoon trip we ate at the 50's Cafe, Coral Reef & Narcoossee's, but everything else this trip will be a new and exciting dining experience for us.
There will definately be a highly detailed & organized post-trip report when we get back. Thanks for reading!
57 days & can't hardly wait. Was listening to Grim Grinning Ghosts while I wrote this. I can already smell the Haunted Mansion!
