IN MY OPINTION....

If you can make an object move in ANY 3d program, and have it move in rendering, you are a 3D animator...

Now, I know that to be a pro. animator, it takes not just that ability, but HS and Collage degrees.

I can see where you all are coming from in saying what you have said, but IT IS MY OWN OPINION that you can be an animator without any real knowlage in the program... cause after all, you can have NO schooling in a career area and preform ALMOST everything a person that has much schooling in that career area... like say you can work as a clerk at CVS and not have any schooling... and do almost as good as anyone that has been through the offered courses.... it just all depends on the skills you have aquired...

That is the same for me with stage crew. I have been working crews since I was 9 and I have never had a formal class in the tech. arts. Yet I work for professional theater companies part time.
